  1. Yep, agreed. From https://forum.thefishy.co.uk/Blah.pl?m-1640016430/
  2. We're turning the BOGOF offer into a GOFGOF offer.
  3. I think if he got partnered with a DOF and a bona fide recruitment team/scouting network rather than Mark Ashton's ego and his Lotus 123 spreadsheet we'd maybe have seen how good LJ could have been. Seriously if we'd just had someone around to give him a slap everytime he was about to say something idiotic there'd be a few less LJ haters;
  4. Interesting comment re Pring - I hope "not ready" in terms of fitness only. And that's much better than Nige deciding that AB is a better fit in that position. Re Dasilva - he seems to be persona non-grata. Can put decent crosses in on his day but I don't think he's a great defender and as we've seen is easy to play against due to us playing narrow (why we do that is another question). Isn't he under contract until June 2023? Might be difficult to shift unless say LJ or MA want him.
  5. Was this separate from the bottle throwing? Did it happen around the same time? City issued a statement to the media (not on OS) after the game, which GT read out on the radio. This seemed to imply that someone who threw a bottle was ejected from the stadium by stewards and immediately arrested by the police.
  6. The Revenue you report is always going to be on sales, the taxman doesn't give two hoots about how many people turn up and whether you report that as your attendance to the media rather than the sales figure. What sounds best to you - 23 games pitch-side advertising with 14k or 20k eyeballs on. Makes marketing sense and is per EFL requirements. Probably 10+ years since we've been able to reply on the attendance figure for actual attendees. For authenticity it might be more useful if they referred to figures as 'tickets sold'.
  7. Yes and it comes up every season. This is a EFL edict and whilst I disagree with it, it certainly makes sense from a marketing angle.
  8. Turning down the opportunity to shoot in the first half last week must have dislodged that penny, because it certainly seems to have dropped now. Thought he was an 8 today - his best City performance deserved a little more than a loss.
  9. I wasn't aware blocked shots were counted (separately). But I think Semenyo probably had 3 blocked on his own, so sounds like you're right.
  10. so there were 3 city shots that were neither on or off target,
  11. He disappears in times of trouble doesn't he, so I doubt he'll be around to do the post match interview
  12. Ooh, like this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=foXf3n1Mv0I (Sorry I can't insert properly)
  13. I won't tell you how slow I am, but let's just say I still needed further help. On an unrelated note, here's a picture of me from my schooldays.
  14. I feel a bit trigger-like. This has gone over my head. I must be an ostrich.
  15. Doubtful. They get problems with their illuminated advertising boards when the wind is gusting at over 6 mph.
  16. Didn't you see him play? He looked pretty useless to me. What was he doing here in the first place.
  17. Those were the days. I would have needed both of my tiny hands to shove it in my gob.
  18. if you search for my historical posts you'll find that (apart from a couple of pints when I was in hospitality 25 years ago) I've only ever bought a single wagon wheel at the gate and that was probably 40 years ago now. Luckily (or not) I've always lived locally, so even if I do get hungry I can be home relatively quickly (I sit in the Dolman and stay to the end so it takes a while to get out) to scarf some grub. I'd probably be tempted by a £1 veggie pie on my way out otheriwsie.
  19. The best we'll ever do with KP45 is to get a league one team desperate to get into the play offs to take a gamble on a loan until the end of the season. We'd be extremely lucky if they ponied up £5k a week for the privilage.
  20. He'd probably stay there forever if he thought he had that to look forward to (PS Theres a good Cider With episode by @Shtanley here Cider With JP if anyone didn't catch it.)
  21. The radio Bristol interviewer asked whether it was an impact injury. NP said it wasn't and he (Scott) was feeling it in both calves or some such. I was less informed than I'd be if the question hadn't been asked.
  22. Yeah, too right, Compare and contrast against the last away performance.
  23. A player like Scott is a rare find - his potential is up to full international level. Whether he makes that depends on many things, but he's got the attributes at this stage and I've no doubt all but the elite PL teams will be keeping tabs on him. Villa are very cheeky (they're a very naughty boy), and we can't very well rebuild if we sell off the foundations.
  24. Also he's due in court next thursday for an alleged assault on his wife.
