    Looking increasingly likely.

Magennis and Otzuner handed in their notice, but not accepted by Administrators.  How does that work?  We all moan that footballers have it easy, but in situations like this, they appear to be stuck.

It's all a bit odd. If they aren't being paid you'd assume they could walk, so maybe they have been paid? A quick google found these links:

but it's still not made thing clearer for me.

I know this probably means nothing but a baggies fan in work went to the game. Said that both sides were very poor. Bolton stuck 10 men behind the ball and counted on set pieces.

I would hope we would have enough to get past them but in the league you never know.

Being first home game of the season they will have to attack us, so hopefully will leave plenty of space for us to exploit. We should have a pacey mobile line up so as long as we are resolute at the back, I think we will have chances to win the game. It can't be much more of a damp squib than last season *.

(*Disclaimer: Only watched on tv, so feel to contradict me if you were there.)

Bit disappointed with that after LJ saying he felt Kelly was MOTM in the last two games. Would’ve been a good shot in the arm for Bryan to see he can’t rest on his laurels.

Would probably prefer a left side of Kelly/Bryan than Bryan/Patterson anyway.

I share your disappointment but I expected him to rest Kelly given that he's played 2x90mins in the break, and because JB is still the incumbent. It gives us options later in the game, and from the start on Monday.

What a game to go to! Eliasson messed up for their 2nd goal but really did make up for it for the rest of the game. Duric a beast again up top.

We really weren’t very good until their second goal when we suddenly started to play and move forward in numbers. Even Magnússon began to look like a great championship LB. You could tell Hull were a team low on confidence because we really rattled them. Brownhill was needed in the middle and he was all over the pitch second half and showed energy only associated with Reid so far this season. A great win and comeback out of the blue.

Very harsh to single out Eliasson there.

So many players made mistakes in that passage of play, Magnússon when the ball went in initially, Paterson not even challenging for the header after and the CBs as well.

It was a shambles of the highest magnitude with three or four horrible errors that could have led directly to a goal before Eliasson put a huge cherry on top of the cake. But fair play, he didn't let it affect his game.

Dont think we played that well but result all that matters. Nervy at the end sat back too much.

    Agreed & agreed.

We tried hard, and rode our luck a bit - Pack could quite easily have gone before being fouled for the Bogle red. Magger's was definitely very nervy throughout, and it got a bit difficult to watch near the end that's for sure. We were using our squad to near its full extent, and it showed sometimes. Whatever anyone says about them, Cardiff are good at what they do (thank god we don't have to watch them every week :), so I'm cutting us massive amounts of slack.

PS Nice to see half the team hugging Tomlin at the end, presumably congratulating him for missing with those free kicks and failing to deliver a far post ball when we left their player free.

  6. We've had two league games, lets not get carried away either way. we definately need to take our chances and manage games better. I don't know what other striking options we have for Tuesday, but we definately need a finisher. How close Taylor is to fitness?

Short term I'm more concerned that we get Flint dealt with because if he's not going to make the squad and no-ones offering £5 million, we seem to have managed to put ourselves in a can't win position with him.

Still lots of perms, but for me would rather it was not a 'do or die' last day shoot out.

Me neither. I can hardly take it when we have a 2 goal advantage going into the last minute of added time.

I was just pointing out that it if the next two games go seriously wrong we'll still probably have a get out of jail card on final day. Plus lots of police overtime available.

Well, Paterson had a clue today that's for sure-and well done Mark Little-great work for the pen..

Agreed. Surprised me in a good way, my MOM. If he gets picked Friday and puts in anothor similar performance I'll start believing he'll be able to do it consistantly. I'd rather see him there than see a Lee Tomlin half-arsed display.

Somebody remembered to put Little and Paterson's names in the tombola today then!!!

Patterson will run around enegetically, not having a clue what to do. Hopefully Dave Cotterill supports Little well', I'm not sure about the help he'll get from inside him though. Overall a gamble, but we needed a stronger midfield, but we've just moved the weak point back a bit. Come on City, surprise me.
