    This, every day.

Just to go off at a slight tangent here, the great Wayne Allison is now the proud possessor of a Doctorate that he studied for.

I’d be far, far happier if he was in Tinnion’s role, because in complete contrast, he’s literate & numerate.

The Chief got a lot of unnecessary stick here, but when he left, he seemed to spent the majority of his career in a higher division than Bristol City.

Remember, he's the reason we got that replay at Anfield.

The total lack of professionalism or reading of the room is shocking. The biggest concern about Tinnion is he simply can’t be trusted either to keep his month shut or to make comment when simply not needed.
The disclosure of transfer fees for players on local radio, when the fees were undisclosed is completely unprofessional. I do wonder if these type of actions will impact us in future transfer negotiations

If you're the other party when an undisclosed clause applies, ensure it includes a financial penalty if breached by either party. Say 5% of the transfer fee.

Granted, it would be difficult to pin down where a breach came from, because no one is stupid enough to go on the radio and blab it out are they?

11th place finish.  Not great, but if we can finish in the top half after an embarrassing shambles of a season then think what we could do if we were bang average…

It's been a mixed season, and we are the definition of bang average.

That is one good bit of news!!

    Birmingham ⬇️

Bristol Post headline for the City game should be:

    'Birmingham spare City's blushes'

because, quite frankly, if losing 4-0 to Stoke means the football gods relegate the Small Heath Alliance, then I'm all for it. Well done City.

Manning needs to come out and say it as it is after this game , that was piss poor we were awful etc etc

not dress it up about poor decisions poor behaviours etc etc ,

Isn't that effectively the same thing though Kev?

This is the sort of display that stops people renewing.

No leaders on the pitch today.

I've just done exactly the same with the same feelings. The last time I had a season ticket in the Dolman was when it was first built in 1970....£5 for a juvenile ticket!

I got a juvenile one there for £25 once - I think it was the season Millwall started a bonfire in the open end, using seats provided from the Dolman A or B block.

I got £5 off a couple of weeks ago, so alreayfy there

Finding something to spend it on could be a challenge though

It has been on there for weeks.

Cool, I'll add another to keep last year's happy.

When is the deadline to spend these points?

    31 May. Fill your boots.

BTW last year they introduced a £5 shop voucher about this time, so if you are going to waste your points on tat draws, maybe wait a while. Obviously I've still got last years £5 voucher as I couldn't find anything worth spending it on.

It says you receive 5 emails within the 30 day trial period, that's rubbish, i didn't receive one and i certainly didn't fill out an application form, something fishy here 🤨

Yep, otherwise it wouldn't have been featured by Which! It's an onerous process just to get your cashback as well.

In the last few minutes I've earned £2.58 from a free cashback site on a £10 spend, and I can withdraw the money now if I want.

IIRC the pop up was a 'cash back' offer with the subscription details in small writing. That's what I saw.

Very poor that BCFC allow this.

I think uncle Steve earns a tenner referral fee for every sign up. He needs 1.5 million City fans to sign up annually to cover our annual shortfall. #DoItForSteve

Those little pops-ups appear after purchasing tickets on Bristol sport, a pretty shady practice really. This isn’t  the first thread on here regarding this.

It's set up to catch you out - a horrible practice and not one a 'customer focused' organisation would employ. I've mentioned my dislike for this practice several times already & I'm sure I usually put it on my SC&T annual survey.

I tried to set up ublockOrigin on my browser to stop the pop up, but have only been partially successful.

As someone that has always said that the Premier League is far from being my Holy Grail, most of my fondest City memories seem to be from when we were in League One.

Mine will always be the 0-0 v Fulham following the Ashton Gate Eight & club survival (or not, if you ask a Gashead).

Yeah, you pay the pro rata difference

I used a friends ticket who has an OAP season ticket, I had to pay £4.17 to upgrade to an adult (assume slightly cheaper as I have a membership)

People have taken the comments a bit out of context

It's not something suddenly being implemented, there's always been a maximum number we can sell.

Obviously with the restrictions on the South Stand this season there are less cheaper tickets.

If it gets within say a thousand, we know the club would be all over it as a sales pitch

Yep, and they might sale through the cap 'because we don't want anyone to miss out'.

I did prefer how the game was played in the past. Is so bloody soft nowadays.

Rarely see a proper tackle now.

There were four in quick succession by us on Saturday.

I don't really want to go back where reckless challenges seemed to be the norm. It would be interesting to see how career ending injuries have been impacted over the decades by the perceived changes in attitude/application of the laws of the game. My perception is that far more pros make it through their natural career now. There's also the hidden post career physical trauma to consider.

‘Some promise’ is about right. TC is learning his game and maturing all the while. I’d be genuinely surprised if a bid of over £2m came in for him.

If City do bring in a decent CF and Manning plays two up top then I can see that benefitting Conway. Having  another striker alongside would provide more goal poaching opportunities and develop him into a better striker.

Prepare to be surprised. We just need someone to leak that Rangers are preparing a £2.5M bid, that gets Celtic involved. Lower ranking EPL clubs then sh1t themselves and someone ends up bidding £5M, and get a bargain.

In fairness and I’m far from his biggest fan but thought he came across the best I’ve heard him but that’s coming from a low bar.  I’m not sure what else he could say in addition to how he answered each question.

He said about what I was hoping for/expecting, given where it was coming from.

Anyway, talk is cheap. Lets sign a couple of decent players in the positions we need, keep hold of TC, and make a proper run at the top six.

Posted in this thread, but Gavin Marshall will be on Sound of the City tonight (alongside Jon Lansdown)...

Thanks for the warning. I'll meditate for the next 20 minutes to help me get through it. Now, where's my stress ball ...

The only time I watch women’s football is when the England ladies are on TV.

I have never ever watched a women’s match ‘live’. However due the exposure our ladies get on the OS and local bulletins their results are kinda forced onto me.

I honestly couldn’t name one player from the women’s team.

I 100% believe that you never told us all this before.

In fact you spend so much time not telling us this, that I believe you don't have a squad poster stuck up on your bedroom wall.

  19. If you search youtube, you find out how crocked the gambling industry is.

Put it this way, the best you can hope for if you are a winning punter is that they restrict your bets.

But it seems to be common for them to investigate you, and demand your bank account details, and find loopholes to substantiate cheating allegations so they can refuse to pay out big wins/balances
