Pleased Hull are winning. If they see it out, they should be up for it v Ipswich at the weekend as play offs still on.
They'll need to win both remaining games well, and hope wba or Norwich lose one for their final two.
Sheff Weds v WBA Saturday. Like to see Weds and Huddersfield win Saturday.
I think I'll be on flashscore most of Saturday afternoon. The wifi's okay during the game.

It comes to something when I want Everton to beat Liverpool. Not that I have any liking for either club, but I have been hoping that Everton get relegated up to now.

As I have touched on previously, there are ongoing discussions between the SC&T and club, these will ramp up over the coming weeks and months but will depend on the buy in from our board.
One of the items raised already is this
In current discussions it has been raised that if if happens it will be from the point of being unavailable to attend the game
That is likely to be a team that has a buyback scheme and "sells out" but has unused seats
I would say it is a good thing if someone doesn't attend but also doesn't offer their seat to be resold
I have a *feeling* that it included the ticket being resold officially as non attendance by the holder. I do remember thinking, 'Jesus, that can't be right, can it?'
Unfortunately, there are too many TPOF pods to go back and check. I might see if anyone does show transcripts that I can search ...

I think, this is how you and I think in our “normal” careers…or sometimes this is how your boss handles your aspirations!
Do I want the hassle of a promotion, more demands on me, etc, for a 5% pay rise, a few other benefits, e.g. the swivel chair, the automatic bottle opener…
…when in their case they are talking doubling, trebling, quadrupling, etc, notwithstanding the playing elements. I
Yep, one club in particular are well aware of TC’s strengths and aware that his current team’s style isn’t helping…in fact you could argue that the only thing it is helping is the buying club’s outlay should he leave.
Yep. His market value is currently way below his book value. Or something like that.
I do wonder that if we get stupidly low offers, and/or can't find the no's 9/10 we want, we'd do something risky and keep hold of him in his final year and get the 'value on the pitch'.

'The successful role out of digital tickets'.
Mine hasn't worked once! Always have to be flashed in by the operative at the turnstile.
I sometimes have to wait a few seconds or try it again, but it's always worked for me eventually.
Have you asked to have a physical card next season cus that process seems to be a pain. Unless you like getting flashed of course.

It will happen - but will only happen when games sell out constantly. From the clubs perspective they’ve sold your seat to you and have the money for it - they’d rather sell the other seats in the ground then have to resell yours (and possibly give you a cut)
I heard on The Price of Football recently, that one club were taking your season ticket back - or at least not allowing you to renew - if you missed three games.
If we ever get that arrogant I'm off. I don't care that we'd probably be in the Premier League for that to have a chance of happening.

I just went on for a nose and got as far as choosing seats , and I've already renewed . Strange.
All this would need is a upfront message explaining why ticket sales were offline and when they'd be back and for what 'customers'. Maybe the offer of an email when sales are available.
The slipshod way they tend to implement solutions will lose people.
There are many improvements that could be made to the bristol sport online user experience/interface that they seem reluctant to do anything about. Credit cards not working for no good reason being an obvious example.

(Tyreek has a nice ring to it.)
I'd like to think he wound Nathan Jones up good and proper.

To be fair, and I know you’re not saying it wasn’t publicised, it was on Twitter and the OS.
Thanks Silvio.
I do check in with the OS daily, so must have missed it.

So. (just reading comments)
Dont invest in the squad to push on with proven quality players. Only young , "hungry - and much to learn.
The best of academy players/younger crop sold within a year. (as always)
The rest stay here : we'll forever be one or two away if get the August window right.(every year)
4-9 points off playoffs.
All the academy statistics , amount of goals , etc etc are useless, when the academy IS the team.
Academy cream players are meant to compliment what you've bought in to push on.
It's almost like, they've registered how fans like home grown players , will be more patient , so let's over load and push that. It's a great way to become self sustaining, fans will lap it up.
Who needs a promotion push when their all one of our owm - or at least own made.
....
You need experience for the dog days of the season, to maintain standards and discipline.
You need quality to push the club forward and for the youngsters to aspire to
And you need youth to keep it fresh, to give keep the club connected to fans.
It's not as hard as they are trying to make it. But it's their version of identity , their obsession to do it the way not done before. Until the next change of direction that is.
The only good thing about any of this is that we know they aren't professional enough to be able to execute a plan. Even a half baked, ill conceived, hair-brained one. Luckily for us, the Dream Team weren't around in 1945. "Boats, you say ..."

I'm not saying this wasn't publicised, but since it's the first u21 game at Ashton Gate since about October, I would have gone down to watch had I known about it.

He was Ok and friendly enough. Joel Schumacher was the Director and a nicer guy you couldn't meet. Admit to being quite upset when he passed away. Jerry Bruckheimer was the Producer but apart from a few hello's had little to do with him.
You're Brenda Fricker and I claim my 5 Euro.

He talks with great passion and depth about the academy doesn’t he? From a first team point of view, it’s a bit more “we’ve got a plan” without really going into much depth about what the plan entails. Some of that I put down to the two interviewers, they didn’t ask questions to allow / offer Tins the chance to expand.
At least he didn't say 'cunning plan'. Although that might be more in keeping with some views of him.

We’ll have to see how it pans out.
The prices for all stands are obviously set by the club, so they certainly aren’t forced to price the Lansdown and Dolman so high.
Would be interesting to compare our current income to the sell ‘em cheap and stack ‘em high pricing structure at clubs like Bradford City, who apparently manage to average around 18,000.
And specifically Jon Lansdown created a big differential in the central to wing block pricing about 4 years ago.

I'm assuming they didn't cut prices for their drop to the Championship - the 'perk' of selling season tickets before the season ends.

What someone like promotion chasing Bristol Rovers
By promotion chasing you must mean they're coupon clipping the 25% off horse meat offers out of the local free newspaper.

I'm very glad the designated family area was in the Lower Dolman when my children were young.
Up in the God's, miles from the action, wouldn't have been the same at all, and we'd have sat elsewhere.
I can still picture my young son charging down the steps to the track when we scored with dozens of other excited kids to celebrate with the scorer.
Children like to be close to the action and see their heroes close up and there couldn't be a more unsuitable area than The Upper Lansdown to put them.
Agreed. I started off in the boys enclosure (more formally, the schoolboys enclosure) in front of the Dolman back in the 1970's. I remember the stewards telling us kids not to sit of the front wall in case they got their legs broken by a clearance.

Kalifa Cissé and Albert Adomah were pretty good though. A big miss was not resigning Paul Hartley but he wanted to go back to Scotland iirc.
Yes, I believe we let Paul Hartley off the second year of his contract as he wasn't settling. I was very disappointed. Classy footballer with the abrasiveness of Joe Williams, but good enough not to get caught too much whilst employing the dark arts.

At the Open Day I joined a big queue behind the Atyeo to meet Coppell.
When I got to the front I had my picture taken with him and enthusiastically said, 'Welcome to Bristol City Steve, we're all confident you can really take this club forward'.
Bit taken aback by his response, 'I wish I was'.
Wow.
Lucky for you it wasn't the pilot of a plane you were on after you expressed confidence that he'd land the thing successfully.

Yeah, that situation was untenable.
It probably looked worse than it was because a number of supporters invoked the free upgrade to unattended seats in other parts of the ground.
