Hear hear. He's competitive in the air, and can lay ball off well - we don't play anyone close enough to him to utilise this. He can carry us up the pitch well - and win a throw or free kick. Two things we massively struggle with otherwise. I'd like to see him start with Conway playing off him. And no, I've no idea how we set that up to best effect. Perhaps Liam can field that one?

I think if the two halves were swapped around, we'd all be saying we were robbed/unlucky. Despite reverting to type in the second half, we still had two or three decent opening and should have at least drawn a save from the keeper. My main takeaway is that the players aren't confident enough in their own ability (and maybe just not good enough - in this game anyway) to carry out the coaches instruction for the entire game. -

Give him a chance, he's been distracted by someone eating chips on the seafront. -

Nice to see Downsy continuing in his 'fact free' quest on the rtv prematch show. Apparently we won 3-1 Saturday. -
She probably offered a part refund.

That's a hard sell isn't it? (And not in a good way.) I pity their marketing department - or should that be 'fruit market department'?

Were you watching one of the games available domestically, or did you run a vpn browser add on?

Surely the best way to deal with it is to remove the roof.

I've just got in. Tuned in to watch the archive on YouTube and gave up for the same reason just as fan 3 was trying to ask a question. If I want cringe I'll watch The Office. Much easier to review the running commentary in this thread. -
A question for @Rudolf Hucker ?

I usually resort to counting the number of seagulls congregating on the Lansdown Stand roof at some point during a game.

xG relates to the shot as it is taken per this https://statsbomb.com/soccer-metrics/expected-goals-xg-explained/ I do wonder if some of the models take additional information into account. For example, if the goalie is half way up the pitch, I'd think the xG might be higher, but maybe is it generally 'of all shots taken from here, this proportion result in a goal scored.'

Pied wagtail. There are usually 3-4 that can be seen around Marina Dolman's way in the winter. Made a change from counting the seagulls.

I watched those earlier then subbed to The EFL channel. It has all Champ clubs extended highlights so it might be a more useful way to catch up games of interest, especially if you prefer your tvs YouTube app. -
Apparently that's a goer if we can collect a ton of rocking horse sh** by the New Year.

I think I might have to rate that one above TGH's. Perfect execution.

I feel dirty saying this, but I would absolutely love it if Man Utd won this.

No reason Bristol couldn't support a successful women's team, and I'm sure there would have been takers if SL tried selling it off in the summer. Letting it go pot like this, and chance finishing one off the bottom is not a way to run a club.

There was an audible laugh at least at one game in the 80s. That was in the days when a few of the gatemen got nicked for being bent. They must have had very large pockets given some of those obvious discrepancies.
