FYI The Football League paper gave the match 5 stars (they gave the last match at QPR 1 star), and TGH the 'Star man'. I don't know what his rating was because his name seems too long for the way they display this graphic to show it. It might have been an 8 given that we had quite a few 7's.

You probably won't get any appreciation of this from the TV highlights, but I'm still in shock that the Boro chance near the end that hit the post didn't go in. I had a great angle on it from the Dolman, and that effort was going in all the way, but didn't. Talk about fine margins.

Out of possession it was noticeable that Mehmeti was chasing shadows. It made it much easier for boro to attack down their right. He did look better than belly going forward, but by that time the game was open and ragged. I'd sooner start Bell, but I'm not really convinced by either of them at the moment.

It will be interesting to see how the team shape changes. And I don't expect long balls to be fired up/over to TC's head today.

Good points. Also I think he's lost 2 years of development hasn't he? (I hope Ive got that wrong.) That's massive. I think we're all absolutely gutted for the lad, and I can't imagine how he's managing to cope. Hopefully the City have a good sports psychologist on hand to support him back.

I'm hoping they open their new stadium at the start of the 24/25 season against a newly promoted Bristol Rovers. And that is the only acceptable reason for The Gas to spend a token season in the second tier.

We were second or third bottom in a table of about 12 teams. Italy were 2nd or 3rd. So not surprised to hear that.

Looks like a totally unbiased neutral review to me. We were just brilliant that day - you won't find anyone that says otherwise.

It's a bit ironic that for all the City games he used to attend when he was a youngster, even if he was basically 'the cameraman's assistant', I don't think he's attended more than a few (maybe none, but I'd hope not) City games in years due to work commitments. I would still class him as 100% Bristol City nevertheless.

You could make a case for starting either one over the other. And it would be difficult to second guess LM but maybe that swung it. No one joins a new team (in any workplace) and has every one sussed in 2-3 work days. You have to allow the coach a bit of leeway.

Yep. You can't really argue with the score, we've been miles behind in the second half.
