  1. There's only one way to watch the Gas. 10 Look down at your feet. 20 Look up. If you can't see the pitch GOTO 40: 30 Rotate 30% clockwise. GOTO 10: 40 STOP: REM You are now facing the right way.
  2. He had a caravan at Brean. Fair play TC.
  3. Came here is say that as well But in fairness he's put in some half decent performances for them. I did say half decent ...
  4. What's the over/under on when he breaches his NDA, and forfeits any compo? I give him 2hrs 20 minutes.
  5. As long as we don't get Dai Wales for the return game, I don't mind.
  6. They overtaken everyone in the league apart from one. Don't wet the bed just yet.
  7. Andi W is a model pro. I really enjoyed hearing his opinion. Yes, 3 Peeps is club friendly in that their critismn is always level headed and respectful. No way he would have appeared on the FBC pod, especially with Ian. "But Andi, that's an antic". I listen to both, and like them both.
  8. Yes, but I was on hiatus from City for nearly all his tenure, so it slipped my mind. I came back after the playoff final season. I missed the good times with AD as well as I only started going when the decline started, though I did see some games over 2/3 seasons of the real 1st division.
  9. When I think of this club, I think of the people that made a difference. Before my time, John Atyeo, Harry Dolman. The Ashton Gate 8, Beryl Fudge, Terry Cooper, Jerry SLO (even though he gets a bit slated here), my mates I used to go with who have passed on, various players and games. Cotts, who despite everything should be remembered a double winning manager. Maybe the job Nigel P has done when he leaves. What I don't think about is Steve Lansdown. And that says everything.
  10. Ha. It would have flowed better with just fevs and patch I think. Nice one fevs for getting the thrust of the NP points made early on.
  11. He's probably installing BBC Sounds on his phone as we speak.
  12. Tony Wilkin's groin strain? I'll have to listen live then.
  13. Don't be rolling your eyes too much Agreed. I'm assuming all the contributors go through some mixing desk type software and can be muted by the operator (@headhunter), but I don't really know. And it might be too much work for the host to do. Maybe Dave needs an engineer?
  14. For sure you aren't going to see many registrars putting that down as the cause of death.
  15. I've striken the 0-0 draw with the mighty Burton from my memory. Good times though ...
  16. I'm 5'10" and the leg room in the upper dolman (which would be from what, row 13 onward?) is just about okay. If you're over 6' then you'd appreciate the additional leg room and newer seats in the Lansdown or lower dolman. If you want to avoid the rain, then you'll want a seat higher than about row 10 in either stand. I'm in row 29 of E31 and the view is great, and 100% dry. Occasionally get sun in the eyes, but usually its not high enough to be a problem now that the Lansdown stand is in the way. PS If you're overweight like I used to be then the higher Dolman seats might to be small. I had to wedge myself in when I was 18 stone, but now at 14 stone I have room to spare. This might also be an issue if you are seated next to a larger person.
  17. It's worth a but you aren't getting one because that comment could be closer to the truth than anyone might suspect!
  18. Good post. We should always consider upgrading the squad when we can, so whether Joe gets a new contract offer might depend on who we can get in and who else might be going out. The problem is that I doubt NP will be allowed to deal with these kind of matter whilst his position is unclear. (But that's for anothert thread!)
  19. Ah, when you could launch your 'tackle' from 30 yards away. "Incoming!"
  20. Me and two chaps directly behind me (middle of dolman) join in when we hear the singing - we have an average age of about 65 and that only because I'm dragging it down a bit. As posters have said above - its all down to the lack of people joining in. Part of the problem is that too many people seem to treat going to the football the same as watching the telly: a totally passive experience. Rather spend time on their phones, or idiotically shining their phone flashlights, than joining in *supporting* their team. That young lad in the video posted saturday (?) shames 75% of the silent majority. If you managed to help create an atmosphere against Man Utd and Man City in the league cup, you should be able to repeat that for a league game. Get with the program. BTW I'll add that I don't join in with negative chants unless they're really funny. For clarity I didn't think 'Leroy Sane is a c###' was remotely funny, but the one from the 80's concerning a male horse's reproductive parts and backside might be. Especially if it's sung next Wednesday, although I'd rather we sang to back NP then.
  21. You want to give them some points for effort there don't you. I don't know what LS can say except keeping going and you'll get a break.
  22. Or about 3x one game at the bottom of the 4th division. Those were the days.
