I’m guessing he refers to our Technical Director, or as Tinnion himself spells in on LinkedIn, our Tecknical Director.

Really annoyed by this. We’ve been crying out for a manager like NP for decades. Been supporting the club since Dennis Smith times. If I’m right, only Pearson, Coppell and Wilson (as managers and/or players) and Jordan (as a player) have had top flight experience. IMO that lack of know-how has been a major failing of the club for decades. We’ve been crying out for experience and people who have been there and done it. Now we have someone, who’s performed well in incredibly difficult circumstances and we’re letting it slip through our fingers. It’s so frustrating and screams of ownership who are not comfortable in their positions and want to be more involved than they should be.

Anyone found any actual working streams? -
Disgrace. Why can’t we listen in the background anymore as well since their “update”? ??
-
No option to listen in the background though. You have to be on that app page for the audio to work. Useless.

We’d be making a huge mistake to let Pearson leave at the end of this season IMO. Wages are under control, he’s starting to get some money to spend and it’s a critical time for the club’s future with the Scott money and Lansdown potentially looking for outside investment. I’d want no one else to guide us through this next couple of years.

Match Day Tickets Prices - Too Expensive?
Dastardly and Muttley replied to Jacs's topic in Football Chat
I live in Maidenhead and have three kids who’d all want to go if I went. It adds up to a day worth well over £150 in petrol, food and tickets if we all go and, right now, I can’t justify it. Prices are too high everywhere, City included. Didn’t miss a home game when I was in Bristol from around 1998-2008 but now I just can’t afford it. And that’s with a decent job as a primary school Headteacher. -

Agreed. As a teenager in Bristol, I used to attend some Glos CC cricket camps alongside Liam and his mates. Arrogant, smarmy little shite, he was. Doesn’t seem like anything‘s changed. -

I'm not very well and I don't know where else to go
Dastardly and Muttley replied to Porto Red's topic in General Chat
This place is the best sometimes. Glad to hear you’re feeling a little better, Porto Red. Please remember there are plenty of people out there who will listen and help, and as others have said, OTIB isn’t a bad place to start! Feel free to drop a DM; or if you’re anywhere near Maidenhead (doubt it, given the username) then give me a shout to catch up sometime. -
Scott money - What’s required?

I’m assuming people are mentioning Twine as they look at the number of games he played last year and didn’t realise he was injured? -
I don’t deny Wolves have a more illustrious history or that they’re bigger. Just currently, I don’t find them interesting. I think I could name three of their players: Bentley, Kilman and Costa. They’re just a pretty dull team, never competing at the top end, mostly avoiding the bottom. If you asked 100 random people to name all 20 teams in the Premiership, I reckon Wolves would be one of the least mentioned teams. They’re, currently, dull and forgettable.

Jason Knight signed from Derby - Confirmed
Dastardly and Muttley replied to Bat Fastard's topic in Football Chat
So, if the player leaving is announced first, does that mean Derby will announce Knight leaving at the same time as we announce Wilson? ? -

I don’t think you can base a recruitment strategy on “what if these guys get injured?” If they get injured, we’ll use youngsters to replace them. Yep, they’ll be a drop in quality but the youngster could step up. Three alternatives to this approach: 1: sign a first-team quality player to sit on the bench. Would cost a fee and wages. 2: replace our starting strikers and keeper with someone better. If you’re going to spend, why not upgrade? Costs money though. 3. Get a loan player in as back up. Pearson doesn’t seem to like developing other teams’ players though, and these deals often require playing time guarantees. In our current position, going with what we’ve got seems quite sensible unless we can upgrade at an affordable price. -
