It would be quite interesting to see Brian Tinnions managerial stats here - which were generally regarded as a disaster - compared to Nigel Pearsons.

Of course, they both managed us in different divisions, but then our squad would have been equivalently different.

I don't know how they'd actually stack up as Tinnions stats don't seem to be easily found - but I know for a fact that Pearsons were underwhelming.

EDIT - also, on topic, has he not just tweeted a couple of factual references to the season just gone..?

Academy players coming through - true.

Finished higher than we have for several years - true.

Progress..? Questionable I suppose - but factually correct. Of course he's going to look at the positive slant in his assements.

Next season, with a summer window & pre-season under his belt, is the only fair way to judge LM.

Personally I think he has done OK generally. Certainly alot of work to do & improvements to be made - but there were also some encouraging signs aswell.

    Next season will be interesting.!

Strange use of the word interesting there..twice.

You don't think the players take any responsibility for playing rubbish?

Definitely not all down to the manager. But if you take some credit for a 5-0 win then you have to accept some responsibility at 0-4.

Ultimately, the buck stops with the manager. That’s how it’s always been.

If he fronted up when we’re Ona losing run rather than only ever on a winning streak, I’d agree with you.

Whoever the interviewer surely the main question has to be, given that JL said we had a top 6 squad, does he agree switching managers was a failure?

I don’t think we need to hear from the chairman, whatever run of form we’re in.

Makes sense to hear a season-end review though. Our nice run of good form will make it much easier for him though

I was wondering what yesterday would've been like for him.  Achieved promotion and then out celebrating with your team mates when you know you won't be playing alongside them next year.  Must've been a bit odd.

I guess it proves the value in the deal Derby struck.  Would they have got promoted had he not stayed there until the end of the season?

Also, we may not have got him had we waited until the end of the season.

Don’t think he’s staying. His wife posted this yesterday on her instagram

Such is the impact King had, those shirts could belong to Scott and Conway.

One of Nigel’s most important signings.

What a guy- we're so lucky to have him. His input has shown remarkable results from Academy levels whilst  his role as technical Director is beginning to reap rewards on the pitch , firstly with Southampton then at Leicester. I'm really excited about next season, we've already got a Bird in the hand as well as a few in the bush and that's before our Summer recruitment.

WE are building the momentum for a serious push towards a top 6 finish in 2025 as he suggested. It's a great time to be a BCFC supporter.

( Facepalm me if you agree)

Didn't someone post a while back that we had the second ' easiest' run in?

Still...you've still got to beat what's in front of you I guess.

We failed miserably on the last ‘easy’ run of fixtures we had. Some progress then so credit to Liam and his team.
