Guessing the players will be thrown under the bus for not following the gameplan..whatever it may have been. It can’t have been that.

Hang on there city. No away point is a bad point
Would usually agree but points aren’t so important now. Would give anything for a decent performance with an indication of how we’re going to play going forward. I hope that isn’t it.

What a 'save' by Max!
Should be England's #1
I’m glad you agree

We don’t even have a Plan A

Sadly I have a growing feeling this squad aren't adaptable enough to a plan B
What’s a plan B?

Wow, what a save to deny James!
Or is it only with Max that we have to pretend straight forward saves are world class?
Prime O’Leary by the Sunderland keeper

Gets Bailey Wright phoning in live on RTV.
First thing Downsy does? Cracks out a holiday photo from Qatar and starts banging on about how he DJ'd one of the Australian games.
Could ask about the match...but nah.
I’d rather not listen to Downsy talk about football tbh

Memories of Sunderland 0 City 1 , soren Anderson winner , one of the most one sided matches I've seen
And more recently the corresponding fixture in December ‘23. Max was superb in that one too.

That’s right up with the worst we’ve seen under Liam. It’s different to passing it around the back late on at home when we’re chasing the game. It’s just not getting the basics right.

Got to get him on the ball in places where he can create. His back to goal in our half with a Sunderland player closing in him in not it.
And he’s losing it when he does get on the ball

Can I change my vote for POTS

Can’t do much with scraps.
A player of his calibre should be doing better

None are really excelling but Twine looks well off it

Sloppy from Knight to let it run past him but even if he gets it there he has nowhere to go. Great from Max keeping us in this.

Yeah I don't know if we've got the tactics wrong, but we're definitely getting the execution wrong with loose passes, half-hearted defending and a flimsy shape.
A bright start with Mehmeti’s run too

Not really sure what our game plan is. Yet to get into the game and quite wasteful when we get possession.

Great run, awful final pass from Mehmeti
Great run. Agreed

Nige did say that the City job would be his last in football management and he always struck me as a man of his word.
That gives him the opportunity to go elsewhere before he comes back to save us once again. And then retire

Probably best at this point for you to disclose what team you support.
I have a hunch it might be Bristol City

It's Nige for me.
If he'd stayed we'd already be promoted and have one hand on the FA Cup.
Mr Pearson isn’t one of the nominees
I agree with you though

The one thing I wonder is, do they have the same level of design ability as someone like Hummel or Castore , if not then that leaves the door open for Jon , which is worrying.
I think Jon wants the door to be open, unfortunately.

Would love a 76/77 vibe, both home and away.
Given Jon’s penchant for retro, I think the shirts will be a remake of these

I’d be disappointed that our head coach couldn’t get his team interested. Sunderland looked up for it so I’m not buying that.
We still have 5 to play. Or should we not bother?
