That defeat was nothing to do with Mr Pearson. No matter what you, or anyone who agrees with you, believe.

I get that Manning has been instructed to get as many points as possible, presumably, so he’d be less inclined to blood youngsters. Mr Pearson deserves a lot more credit than you give him though. He gave opportunities to young players when he didn’t have to..and kept us competitive. I believe it’s been pointed out before that Manning doesn’t have a great record at MK Dons or Oxford for bringing academy players through.

He seemed to have an issue with Dykes who, to my knowledge, has more goals at this level than Thorpe.

Can’t agree. We’ve seen this kind of performance, or lack of, far too often.

If we’re going to be one of the top teams in this division then we’re going to have to get used to beating teams who put men behind the ball. We simply can’t do it though.

We’re a counter attacking team. The second half is going to be painful

I was thinking Bird and another in the summer. I can really see none of James, King or Williams being here.

I just think that those who are running things at this club don’t see how good Matty is. He doesn’t fit their profile so my hunch is there won’t be a new contract on offer. We’ll look to sign a younger player instead imo.

Don’t want to get told off for being positive about Max again but he’s perfectly good enough for us. Certainly not a priority for recruitment.

We’re definitely a counter-attacking team, at present, which is why we’ve generally played so well against the bigger teams. QPR is likely to be a different test and we’ll probably have more of the ball. If we can also play well with a possession based game then we’ll have a fantastic team and shot at promotion.
