  1. Few stats to start with:- Under Millen (wiggles for 2 games) 6 pts from 12 league games = 0.5 pts per game Under Del 25 pts from 19 league games = 1.31 pts per game if we continue with that form we will accumulate a further 19 pts from the remaining 15 games giving us a total haul of 50 pts. Question: Is that enough?
  2. We had 14 overall to their 19, they had 7 on target and we had 6.. frankly off targets are pointless as reliable stats; my 4 year old nephew could easily trounce those off target figures. In short, it was pretty evens on tuesday night and don't let Big Mega head distract you from reality.
  3. I like that prospect Red.
  4. He's definitely older than 55. About sums it up though.
  5. Thankfully then He does not fancy his chances. I am sure he works hard and all that but he has a certain lack of charisma that Millen had; on reflection, can you envisage those two on the training pitch and in the changing room? Good at what they do in terms of method, we assume or how else do you get appointed, but just not inspiring in virtually any shape or form.
  6. Yes and i have been advised by my great aunt Millie (deceased) that Dolly was interviewed from the shortlist of 6th but unfortunately did not make the final cut. Apparently, her request to maintain a single changing room and bath tub were turned down. All I can say Dolly is this; thank heavens for pheromones.
  7. lets see if those percentages in my last post above stay consistent or are more emphatic on the new poll.
  8. 93.5% for McInnes 6.5% for Robins. Can the board ignore this IF Robins is STILL on their radar? I cannot remember such an emphatic thumbs down for a single candidate as this.
  9. OK fair enough but that is not how i read your remarks, in general, earlier in this thread.
  10. based on the fact McInnes is the favourite in the main poll and Robins is/has been favourite amongst the bookies i think it has absolute relevance. You are, I am sure, far too intelligent to be distracted by the nuance of the question; and anyway i see no ambiguity there at all. it is pretty clear what the objective of the poll is. Vote yes, vote no or abstain. simple really.
  11. The thing is though Alex, while i respect your view on Robins, you cannot cut and slice it when it comes to choosing a manager; one for relegation battles and one for play off fights. To choose a manager is to find someone who can do both and, so by definition, for the long term prospects of the club. You are arguing we should take Robins based on his dogfight attributes and nothing else with the hope we might do alright after that. Again, by definition therefore, you are advocating a short term and more expensive solution down the road. I think that is the wrong way to look at it. If you can come up with a better argument it might receive a better hearing.
  12. Absolutely, a 'reasonable' job. Took the words right out of my mouth.
  13. I got a job for you... give it until the end of the weekend.. then add up all the votes on the main poll and then subtract all the votes on this poll... you can reasonably assume the number you are left with is the 'none of' vote number. simples.
  14. Yeah well, thats kinda why i did the other poll as well. you could always put another poll up and include the main candidates but thats kinda covered with the main poll. Anyway the silent majority seem to have this contest in the bag.
  15. i notice you and Grandad did not vote for Robins as first choice on the main poll. Who did you guys vote for? its interesting because Robins might be more people's 2nd choice than McInnes for example. Early doors though. I have no idea who it will be other than the top 6
  16. like I said Pete, I wanted to define it down to these 2 for reasons stated. McInnes might be your second choice or Robins might be.. after Jones, for example, so the end result will be who we would rather have of these two.
  17. Thats OK Matt, i have put just the two for the reasons given; McInnes leads the main poll and Robins is being talked about a lot. So I think the poll has relevance.
  18. Since the 'Who Next' Poll has McInnes as the leader and Robins a very distant also ran let's see if that vote is consistent with this one. These are the last two by Monday, let us say, so who would you rather have. if the Who Next poll is accurate there should also be a clear winner here by some margin.
  19. Del takes the lead for the first time and not before time at that.
  20. You mean this motley crew?... Baloonz , ever-red , eastonboy , Jon atyeo is my dad , peanut , MSN Red , Loderingo , 054123 , Padlad , redmeanie , reddevon , StGeorge Your unlikely disciples.
  21. Sorry Dolly but its about time you donated your brethren to the McInnes cause; only you have that casting vote. I note you have not voted; lets be avin yer !
  22. Del Boy is coming up on the blind side. Very happy to see a few, on reflection, have pulled their votes from Robins and SOD. Perhaps this guy has been City's numero uno target all along and they asked Saints boss to leak the story... nargh perhaps not then.
  23. young and hungry yes. successful perhaps in the past tense. i am sure his star will shine again but this might be a step too far for him this time. he is too young to turn these players around in my view.
  24. Who we would like. Zola odds only plummeting due to this poll being poured over by the lazy journos! I cannot explain McInnes though who, looking at his record, would be a surprise but potentially inspired choice.
