    WTAF?!

Ashton Gate, the suspension bridge (again!), then the Banksy mural, IKEA... IKEA!!... followed by a tour around Bristol's shooting galleries... I have no words

Not only is it IKEA but the girl is standing by a sign that says "Pick up area"!

It is a very strange video, I wish I hadn't wasted time watching it.

Sod's law that Villa and Derby will face belated sanctions - once one of them has gone up through the playoffs!

Sadly I think that is the best we could hope for.  Without EFL involvement nothing will happen and by the time the EFL convene to discuss the outcome of this meeting, yet alone take any action, the season will be long over.  It could affect one of Derby or Villa next season if one of them goes up, plus Sheff W but I am not holding my breath.

I suppose Lansdown and Gibson could launch a legal challenge against the final Championship table, but again, nothing would happen in time to affect this season and it is all a bit Bristol Rovers.

I'm afraid CyderInACan is right, best we can hope for is for some points deductions for a few teams next season, but with the spineless EFL in charge it may take an irate Gibson plus Lansdown and a few others (Birmingham maybe, looking for equal treatment?) to take some legal action to change it.

Where do Mark Ashton and any other Championship representatives sit in all this?

Fascinating day, but I expect no answers to anything. Love to listen in to the discussions!

Just when we start to think they’ve not given us something to laugh about, then this...........

Very good week so far with Rovers beating a top team in League 1 4-0.

But Bristol City just fielded a team that included the snake, Kasey Palmer, O'Leary, Eliasson, Smith, Baker, Watkins and Adelakun in their U23s and managed to lose 4-3 to Nottingham Forest U23s.

    Unlucky da sh** x

They have nothing on us so resort to taking the piss out of our u23’s losing

    ???

And they care enough to know those are all first team squad players!

I am not sure I can name ONE of their first team, let alone the whole squad

Fair point- I think it's possible but not cut and dried.

My view on it is that Championship clubs who have complied and those who have been punished seriously should look at legal routes if they bottle it on Aston Villa- EFL should be wary of this.

I quite agree.  I can see it getting very messy.

The good news on that is their own rules or interpretations on websites of these, say that the EFL say nothing is off the table and they can set punishments as they deem fit- in theory at least it means the idea of demotion from top 2 to playoffs or if a bigger breach still. top 2 to 7th say can still happen and indeed top 6 to outside playoffs. Would say that 12 points would be fairer and a bigger deterrent but

Or they can give a piddly meaningless fine.

It must be horrible being a Sag at the moment, but to be fair, when wasn't it?

I shudder sometimes to think that fate could have dealt me a different hand and instead of being City I could have ended up Gas.  My life would have been so different.

Regarding the 1939 re-election to the Third League [South], on May 3rd 1939 Evening Post, the Bristol Rovers FC were facing finacial ruin and needed £2000.00

So history may foretell the future of Rovers again........you never know.

Unlikely, there is a gentleman's agreement not to buy their players.

If you take on the loan then you have no net assets, annual loss of £600k, and loan interest of ?£400k.

Marvellous.  Fianncially you would have to be paid big money to take that on.

I think you would buy Dwane for a quid, put £12m cash in and pay off the loan, ie substituting your loan for Al Qadi loan.

But why?  If the Al Qadis cannot get it to work financially, why will anyone else?

    1) If Dwane Sports is sold then the new owners get a ground, a training ground, and no debt (as Rovers owes the ?£12m to Dwane Sports, and this would then just be an intercompany balance that cancels out on consoldiation).

This leaves the new owners and Rovers in a strong position

What is the balancing £12m in Dwayne Sports though?  Presumably debt to the Wael family which would need to be cleared as part of the sale transaction.

as far as I'm aware our Gas Headed friends didnt own Eastvillle. Eastville was the property of the Bristol Stadium Company...are they trying to convince someone they sold a ground they didnt actually own?

They sold it to the Stadium Company I believe, although advised not by Harry Dolman who was considering joining their board.

But it wouldn't surprise me if they sold something they didn't own.

Strangely, the quoted article was written by Adam Baker - he ought to know what happened as well as anybody outside the Johnson family.

In the interview on the BBC website the implication is that the death threats are after signing Taylor, but no idea who by.

Thanks for the photo of the dog taking a dump. Just what I wanted when I am having breakfast.

Reminds me of kids football in the park and clearing up the pitch before the game.  Still that's what the fewer will be doing soon.
