  1. I presume it was something like that plus I suspect Taylor is more comfortable on the right. Was hoping and expecting that Sykes would switch to the right when Anis came on though.
  2. Yes and I think there will be even more no shows with the new TV deal, especially if kick off times are not 3pm on a Saturday. This season if you go to every match it is only £16.74 per game (that’s the full adult price). Even if you miss 8 games, it is still ‘only’ £25 per game. Of course, it is likely to be more expensive next season, but I’d be surprised if goes over £400 (it was £385 this season).
  3. Don’t think we’ll know the fixture times and tv matches until they are announced in June. Sounds like half of our matches (23) could be on TV - that’s the average anyway - but of course we don’t know the split between home and away. On the positive side we’ll know all the matches times up until Christmas.
  4. I class 10th as still mid table albeit top end - and we could in theory still make 10th of course. I just don’t - and didn’t - see us troubling the playoffs this season. The squad just doesn’t have the depth, the quality or the consistency needed. And because of that lack of depth, we can’t cope with injuries. And just to add, we’ve been incredibly fortunate that Vyner and Dickie have not been injured - bare bones there so could have been even worse
  5. When Pearson was sacked I said it was a clueless decision. I thought he was doing a decent job based on our squad. I didn’t think that this squad was getting anywhere near the top six even with Pearson. It is a mid table squad.
  6. We were 15th then. We’re 13th now. We’re a mid table squad, whoever the manager is.
  7. At least the KO time v Leicester is unchanged.
  8. Didn’t help him v Marlon Pack.
  9. I’ve felt that our best performances under Manning have been much better than we’ve seen for years, so the highs are higher. So that gives me some confidence that there are some positives to focus on. As you say we need to find the consistency - our lows are still as low as they ever were. I think the players have been guilty of believing the hype after Southampton, Boro, West Ham and Forest. They just weren’t at it v QPR and Sheff Wed and we won’t get consistency until they (or new players) can do it game after game relentlessly.
  10. What could possibly go right? Play like we did v Southampton and beat Cardiff, Ipswich and Swansea and watch the mood change.
  11. They’re beating Wrexham at the moment. Perhaps the great escape is on.
  12. Just watched the highlights. It looked to me that Vyner should have done better on both goals - he certainly gave the guy acres of room for the first one - and he was fortunate that a mistake didn’t result in a third.
  13. Yes, I suspect we’ll get something like that ticket exchange (basically the ability to sell your seat) at some point - especially when we get to the PL.
  14. Yes Arsenal have this: WHAT IS SEAT UTILISATION? A seat is considered ‘utilised’ if you have either: Attended yourself Used the Ticket Transfer service to transfer your ticket(s) – provided the recipient(s) attends the fixture Posted your ticket(s) on Ticket Exchange - regardless of whether it’s purchased USING TICKET TRANSFER & TICKET EXCHANGE We encourage you to use both Ticket Exchange and Ticket Transfer to ensure you reach the minimum utilisation threshold. This also gives other supporters the opportunity to get behind the team in the stadium when you’re not able to attend. These services can be accessed via your Online Box Office account. Please refer to our guides for more information on how to use these services. https://www.arsenal.com/season-ticket-seat-utilisation
  15. Yep. I’ve said it before but promotion in 2025-26 would have a certain symmetry - exactly 50 years since last time. (Just think of the pre-match commemorations that future generations will be able to experience!)
  16. It was on 15 March last year so I expect it will be around the middle of March again this year.

    South Stand

I found it surprisingly easy when I did it.

I fully expect more empty seats next season with the new TV deal - more matches on TV and at different times.

    Matt James

I think so too. Another goal and an assist for Bird last night.
  20. That was before LJ though (and in League one)

    The Ref

    Yep didn’t even touch him
  22. I think that pass from McCrorie for Harry’s goal was my favourite bit of the night. Brilliant final third composure, and it is precisely what we have been lacking this season.
  23. Or more empty seats, i.e. season tickets still purchased but more matches missed.
