  1. I can’t keep up - I thought the view on here was that people weren’t going to bother to turn up for the last few matches?! As usual though, it’s somewhere in the middle despite the OTIB extremes!
  2. That’s precisely why I thought the calls to sack Manning were premature (coupled with the fact that we had seen some good performances under him). Just three or four months doesn’t give time for any manager to adapt, learn and grow into a new club and role. That’s why I said on another thread that I feel 12 months is a better period in which to judge.
  3. Given our current squad, I’d probably be going for a forward. Still playing: Semenyo From the past: Cheesley But I’d also like Gerry Gow (please).
  4. Interesting that the rugby are moving family season tickets to the south stand, whereas City are looking to move kids from the south stand to the Lansdown stand. Rugby Q&A: “I am a Season Ticket holder in S18, S19 or S20 with an Under-12 or Under-19 Season Ticket. How am I affected? S18, S19 and S20 will now be the location for the Family Area at Ashton Gate. If you have a Season Ticket in that block and have an Under-19 or Under-12 Season Ticket holder in your group you can remain in the Family Area.

Due to a large number of Family Area Season Ticket holders moving to this area there are no seat reservations in this section. All supporters currently in blocks W7, W8, W9, S18, S19, S20, will all have an exclusive window to purchase a Season Ticket from midday on Thursday, April 11th four days ahead of Season Tickets going on sale. All affected supporters will be sent details via email on how to purchase their Season Ticket. I am an Adult Season Ticket holder in S18, S19 or S20 without an Under-12 or Under-19 Season Ticket. How am I affected? We are asking Season Ticket holders without an Under-12 or Under-19 group member within blocks S18, S19 and S20 of the South Stand to move to another block due to the relocation of the Family Area. All affected supporters will have an exclusive window to purchase a Season Ticket from midday on Thursday, April 11th four days ahead of Season Tickets going on sale. All affected supporters will be sent details via email on how to purchase their Season Ticket.

As part of the relocation of the Family Area we have introduced new entry level pricing in blocks E28 and E34 of the Dolman Stand. With prices starting from £290 for Adults. There is availability in other areas of the South Stand, for supporters who wish to stay in this stand, all at the same price of £290. “
  5. No issues for me (on the iPhone app while mowing the lawn!)
  6. Did he say that as I don’t remember him saying that?
  7. Odd as on Radio Bristol they named McCrorie on bench
  8. Ah I misread - thought you were criticising his use of the term/his language, rather than how we perform.
  9. I do think he is talking about the specific game-plan for the match in question though.
  10. Yes it would be nice to beat last season’s 59 points
  11. This is why I’m happy to give Manning time. He’s a young coach and bound to learn, gain experience and get better, just like a young player (e.g. Semenyo, who some also wrote off at the start of his City career). Plus we have seen some really good performances under him so there have been some good signs. It doesn’t make sense to me to bin him off after just a few months. And yes I know we had an experienced manager before him who shouldn’t have been sacked, but that’s in the past and we can’t change that.
  12. Didn’t realise that Roberts prefers playing centre back. Bristol City Live pointed this out too: “The summer signing from Brighton & Hove Albion has long made it clear he sees himself as a centre-back, to the point he openly rejected the Seagulls’ attempts to convert him into a full-back in his later academy days only to then end up being one on loan at Derby County.” Long may it continue.
  13. I think this was my favourite: “I want to deduct us 9 points for that forget ffp or whatever.”
  14. I think Manning is of the same view, which is why he brought Twine in. (Shame we couldn’t keep Scott longer of course).
  15. My heart bleeds for them.
  16. I think the same, i.e. end result more likely to have an impact than timing of renewal. It’s not as if they get all the cash immediately either (those who pay by instalments don’t make until their first payment until June).
  17. As an aside, although I loved Terry Cooper, our performance at that Southend match (Friday 11 March 1988) was dire. I was at university in Essex and ‘treated’ my girlfriend (now wife) to her first match!
  18. Yes seems like too many clubs taking the p (if proven). Leicester nicking one of the top spots this season. Forest putting us out of the cup. Man City beating us in both FA cup and league cup in recent seasons. Starting to feel like we are penalised just for following the rules.
  19. Trouble is I think there is a certain minority who will never be happy with any manager/head coach unless we are winning easily every week. So they won’t like the next guy either!
  20. Yes use it or lose it policy is usually combined with a ticket exchange site which enables you to make your seat available to a POTD fan (which is then classed as using it). See Spurs for example. I guess that costs the club a tidy sum to set up though, although would be ideal.
  21. I assumed it would be an early KO as usual. Don’t know why they don’t just publish the time when they put the fixtures out in June though.
  22. Trouble is some fans were advocating this (I saw it on here) so ironically it looks like the club has listened to these fans. There were moans about fans not turning up and no POTD in the SS plus comments that ticket prices rises in the SS were needed. The actions they have taken look supportive of this view. Of course, this then negatively impacts others.
  23. Yes I’ve been hoping it would happen to see what the authorities would do! Smacks of an assumption that a Championship side would never make the cup final. I was hoping that we would have this problem but I hope Coventry do it now.
