  1. To be fair he did tweet this first. And he is at WBA now.
  2. Yes I expect 6-8. Of course we’ve had a few moved this season too.
  3. Do you mean home and away as we won’t have 12 home Saturday matches on TV (given our midweek and bank hol matches will be on TV so will go towards our share)?
  4. I’m listening to it on the City website (but it’s not on the app for some reason)
  5. What is odd today is that I can listen to the match on Radio Bristol on the internet - no ‘rights issue’ message which you usually get (so no need to use Robins TV audio - at the moment anyway).
  6. Actually it says this on the EFL link so it will depend how many ‘exclusive’ TV matches there will be next season. Streaming to Continue As part of the new agreements, EFL clubs will be able to continue international streaming services direct to fans overseas, where matches are not being broadcast exclusively, enabling those based abroad the chance to watch their team’s matches throughout the whole season. https://www.efl.com/news/2024/march/05/efl-agrees-innovative-new-international-tv-rights-deals/
  7. There’s a new international TV deal next season too so question whether that may further limit what can be shown on Robins TV. Not clear. “The new deals, which represent a 40 per cent rise in overseas TV rights, are in partnership with agencies Pitch International and Relevant Sports with the former distributing rights in Europe, MENA (Middle East and Northern Africa) and rest of world regions while the latter will become the distribution partner throughout North, Central and South America.” https://www.msn.com/en-gb/sport/football/bristol-city-and-bristol-rovers-agree-new-international-tv-rights-deal-with-other-efl-clubs/ar-BB1jn7rQ
  8. They did win it in normal time - stopped it going to extra time. Outstanding.
  9. No chance of a refund (even ignoring the breach of the terms if in the UK): “What games can I watch? Non-televised Saturday 3pm KOs + Friday/Sunday games – Outside UK and Ireland, Channel Islands and Isle of Man only Non-televised midweek games – Worldwide Televised games – Available in selected territories (notified by the EFL in advance of the fixture) Audio Commentary – Available worldwide If there is not a pay-per-view match pass available in your territory for the game you want to watch, then it is not available. Additionally, there is no season card holder access to streaming.”
  10. Agree. His communication is easy to understand frankly. Nothing to see here.
  11. Yes I’m expecting it to have an impact - unless of course we are pushing for promotion!
  12. Yes it’s bound to have an impact. Likely that we’ll be on TV 23 times (home and away) so it will easier for people to decide to watch at home rather than attend (if they have access to Sky). As for Sat 3pm KO times changing, there is also a risk of that although we’ve already seen that on a number occasions this season so I’m not yet sure how much more of that we are talking about. I don’t think we’ll know until the fixtures are published (for the Aug to start Jan period anyway).
  13. Don’t think they will know any more than EFL/Sky have published at present (as mentioned earlier on this thread). Link here: https://efl.com/news/2023/may/efl-and-sky-sports-broadcast-rights-agreement/
  14. I will renew as I support Bristol City and currently I can afford a season ticket and I am able to get to the games (albeit evening matches are harder because of where I live and work). I will renew early as I want to try to win the free ticket! I still enjoy watching my team. Like pretty much every season, we’ve had some really good performances plus some poor ones so I never expect perfection. The Championship is a really good competitive league to watch. I’ve certainly seen some worse periods in our history (been watching for 50 years). I hope Manning and the players (and Tinnion!) will be successful next season and while they are here they will have my support. I will not boo or abuse them as my view is (unsurprisingly) that negativity negatively impacts their performance - football is very much a confidence game - so doing that would be counterproductive to what I want to see (cutting my nose off to spite my face). I do feel that the way we both set up and performed especially in the first half v Swansea was influenced by some of the negativity around. I also understand that others will have their own personal reasons for not renewing and that is their choice (there have been periods in my life when I have not had a season ticket).
  15. Sounds like they have been listening to the people on here who have been complaining about the empty seats in the SS and who recommended that City: - increase the price of the SS season ticket to discourage the non-users (tick - biggest price rise in SS). - increase the child’s price to discourage the non-users or at least encourage them to move to the family stand (tick). - make POTD more available in SS (tick - the above measures plus no new SS season tickets). I also wonder whether the request from some fans to expand the standing section across more of the SS may also be having a bearing, i.e. if season tickets in the SS reduce, there are less people to move. So it feels to me that all of this is a product of the club listening to fan views. Of course, there are downsides to that (some people adversely impacted) and it is yet to be seen whether this will work to fill seats - I’m not sure it will given the new TV deal.
  16. Excellent post. I’m finding the childish name calling/abuse/pettiness is making the forum hard work. There’s even negativity about whose photographs are on season ticket renewal information - is that really that important?
  17. Well played Antoine - highlights: Bournemouth 4-3 Luton Town: Antoine Semenyo double completes incredible Cherries comeback at Vitality Stadium | Football News | Sky Sports
  18. Can you imagine the uproar on here if we had to provide the club with personal financial information! People get excited enough about showing them the contents of their pockets!
  19. Unless we get promoted of course - we can but dream!
  20. You make a good point. Hadn’t really thought about it like that but in effect the 65+ price is when you get your loyalty discount.
  21. Yes I entirely understand this. I like my SS seat too - plus it’s cheaper than other stands - and if you give it up you may never be able to get a season ticket in there in future. I will renew and see how the TV deal impacts KO days/times this season as that may influence me in future seasons as evening matches are harder for me to get to.
  22. Didn’t realise Dolman E34 was cheaper than South Stand for match day prices.
  23. Although there may be more ‘pay as you go’ if they can get into the south stand now.
  24. It will be Monday 16 February 2054 - Premier League Monday night match!
