In Boro's last 3 home games they have picked up only 2 points.
Let's forget that they beat Chelsea at home in that time.
Still though, after a 6-1 drubbing last week and a disappointing draw on Sunday, they won't be brimming with confidence.
So, based on how City play in these circumstances, City to lose by 2 goals

That’s an excellent crowd under the circumstances. “Art’s Widest Momment; Mannerism”, narrated by Waldermar Januszczak was on Sky Arts at the same time. It’s obvious that the thousands of more cultured Rovers fans decided to stay in to watch it instead of going out in the rain

It’s obvious John Atyeo’s left hip joint

I think the day is coming soon, as a lot have been dancing round it, when a LM stay/go thread is put out there in view of performances. I’m kind of sick of the “he’s not got his players” or “give him time” arguments.
I’m clear that the review point is end of season (and for avoidance of doubt if no discernable improvement I’d bin him then based on current trajectory as I don’t think there would be a compelling reason to give him funds), but Duff got sacked by Swansea after this number of games. Unlike 10 years ago, we all see every game - the pressure comes quicker. And to be clear that isn’t again a Nige vs Liam thing, it’s a “you took over a playoff contender and what did you do” thing
Unfortunate we’ve got Steve Lansdown, Jon Lansdown and Brian Tinnion. They’re not a trio to admit they were wrong so unless there is an unbelievable set of poor results for the rest of the season I’m sure Manning will survive. That said, City are currently 23rd in the form table with 3 points from 6 games. If that continues then I might be wrong about Manning’s survival

Can do one!
If you are getting outclassed on the pitch and you have a chance to lump one into the box with a free kick 20 yards in their half, do it!!!
How many times were we in a position like this and three passes later it’s back with Max or we’ve given away possession!
FFS!!!
To do that effectively you need players who are good at accurately crossing the ball and players who can bear tall defenders. City’s crosses usually get cut out by the first defender and the only person who looks likely to win a header is Dickie. Unfortunately he can’t play in defence and attack at the same time
-
That was the most one-sided 1-0 I’ve seen for years. But for Max and casual Leeds finishing it would have been a massacre. Too many City players with no strength or pace and, tonight, passing to someone in a red shirt was next to impossible

I think we are a handful of signings away from being a very very good side.
Very true, but the same applies to a lot of mid table teams.

He played very well but AGAIN, his final ball is not good enough. Will hold him back. Like the entire team, I cannot think of a city side that are so devoid of goals and ideas in final third despite the effort and energy we play with.
I don’t agree with your assessment of Pring as I think he could easily play in the Premier League. However, I do agree with the bit I’ve marked in bold. There was the exception of the Hull home and Watford away matches but otherwise it’s at best one goal per match and often none - e.g. in the last 4 league games City have managed to score 1 goal

So we are saying that Robin Hood was colour blind?
It’s a little known fact that Robin Hood often wore spectacles bought from Spec Savers. In later life he wore contact lenses that were coloured to make his eyes look green

And what colour do you associate with Robins ?
Orange of course. Although robins are often called redbreast the colour is actually orange. Orange, as a colour, was unknown in English until the Middle Ages. Until then orange was just regarded as a shade of red

This seems strange:
”Nottingham Forest’s iconic nickname, “The Reds,” is linked to the legendary folk hero, Robin Hood.” Robin Hood was traditionally shown dressed in Lincoln Green.

Just f u ck off you tiresome gass hole.
That’s the standard of replies seen on the Rovers forum. You should try to be more respectful as Miah can’t help being a Rovers supporter. Remember the proverb - Manners Maketh Man

Amusingly, the other 'underwhelming' signing that immediately springs to mind is Matt Smith, who was brought in as cover when Wilbraham was injured during that 2014-15 season and also sparked a pretty scathing reaction.
He scored 13 in 20 games for us.
I remember the “Matt Smith is awful” thread after his first game. Admittedly he was a bit rusty but it soon changed for the better

We could have celebrated something more memorable - e.g. City’s first set of floodlights from 70 years ago. They were unique as each one could be lowered to the ground to change the bulb! You don’t get that with these new fangled lights.
Harry Dolman had them manufactured by his company, so Marina could have come onto the pitch with a lightbulb and some fuses

A good exciting match = a good atmosphere. When it’s flat, as per yesterday, it’s got nothing to do with the ground or whether people are standing or sitting. For most parts of the match yesterday it wasn’t particularly exciting so it’s no surprise the atmosphere was what it was.

I’m prepared to bet that the shirt will be predominantly red and the shorts white. I don’t understand what there is to get excited about as, in reality, there’s little variation year on year. It’s just a case of East St. Louis Toodle-Oo

The was an Apple Wassailing ceremony in one of the allotments in Bishopston today. This obviously had a big detrimental affect on the Rovers attendance

What can they moan about? That is what was in the original plan, likewise the Dolman lower.
It (standing at the back or front of the South Stand) was included in some preliminary sketches of the stand. However, this had been dropped by the time the stand was built and supporters bought their tickets. If the back few rows were converted to standing any supporter sitting there who didn’t want to stand would be entitled to most

Buying the houses behind the Atyeo - no.

With the configuration of the stands, concourses, entrances, visibility problems for sitting supporters etc at Ashton Gate not much, if anything, is going to happen. A rebuilt Atyeo, after the purchase of the houses behind, would work but that’s not going to happen any time soon, if at all

The entire City squad for that game have names from a bygone era. That’s probably because it is a bygone era.
It’s interesting with the choice midfield & attacking players but a bit thin with defenders
