  1. I'm happy we bagged three points following our distracting, but enjoyable cup exploits. Winning is such a tonic. Now, where's me gin?
  2. Fair enough. Rovers have clearly reached their prime.
  3. Really good of them to provide a special Burnt-one ill-bion pasty in recognition of their visitors. Shame the Wagon Wheels came off again. Another night of brewer's droop for the Fewers. A bit hard on Irene.
  4. Shame. When he’s back we’ll sing UB40’s “Red, Red Twine” to him.
  5. Fun while it lasted. We exit with heads held high. Raised our profile and provided some extra dosh, if nothing else. Let’s now concentrate on a storming, good finish in the league.
  6. Never saw Chris Mar ching-Orders move that fast when he played for us.
  7. I can understand why, as with just 80 fans they easily outnumbered the Fewers.
  8. I think you mean “crowed” as in “prowed”.
  9. “He’s the one not on loan”
  10. Sh"t ! Who released him?
  11. The promising, bright "future". The very convenient get-out-of-jail-free card frequently deployed to distract us from the great big turd in front of our noses. As the aannoying dvert once said when trying to sell us another pretty crap product ... "The Future's bright . . . the future's . . . Out of Reach" (so no-one can hold us to account when the fantasy we promised is long distant and forgotten)
  12. Pearson was the unfortunate patsy who was sacrificed by the angry Lansdown, after he dared to reveal that he was being hamstrung in his attempts to develop and transform the team, as per his remit. Same will happen to Manning or anyone thereafter, if the same or similar scenario deem it necessary. Brutal. But, beware Messrs Lansdown, what goes around, comes around.
  13. Obviously fake news. They could never afford something as grand as this. And why would they? They would never be able to fill it. You almost had me there.
  14. Chasing rainbows - it's what we do.
  15. You may well be, but is it based on something really tangible and evidential? This is what the Dumbdowns and Brian Minion have thrived on, and continue to do so. Get the fans to focus on the "exciting" future, never mind about what's happening now. The distraction is no longer as alluring as it once was. "Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me"
  16. In the time it takes to work that out, I'll probably manage to empty out Chew Valley Lake with a teaspoon.
  17. Another coded allegation concerning the Duke of York? Cue the Pizza Express alibi.
  18. True, but it's becoming harder to find any takers. Now that's really telling.
  19. Based on last night's and other recent performances, many fans will rightly claim they've been sold out.
  20. Maybe our invincible overlords misinterpreted your "Get rid of Ian Downs" missive as "Get rid of the Lans Downs" So, to spite you, in a mad panic, they got rid of Pearson, to cover-up their incompetence. I have often wondered what triggered that sudden, inexplicable faux pas. Meanwhile, Downsy continues to wreak havoc and make our ears bleed.
  21. A lot of truth in what you say, certainly for my lot. But unfortunately, the habit of a lifetime is beginning to lose it's lustre, especially as it's becoming more and more expensive.
