  1. I was raging about the Pearson decision, confidently stated I wouldn't be back until the Lansdown's were gone, lasted one game ( so well done to whoever it was that told me that would happen ) but I really enjoyed that today.
  2. lucky I don't play for us. I look miserable in every pic ever taken.
  3. Ok, one last time. I've made it clear throughout this thread that I know nothing about Manning other than what I've read on here, and therefore despite being underwhelmed by the appointment, have nothing that I'd care to judge him on. Good luck to the guy. All my posts have referred to Lansdown and the kind of manager he prefers to work with. That's it.
  4. Haha, sorry Dave, wasn't a dig, just made me laugh when two of otibs more respected posters appeared to disagree with me simultaneously. I know nothing about Manning , probably due to his relatively unimpressive CV, and therefore suspect that Mr Lansdown believes he'll be easier to influence than Nige was. We'll find out soon enough.
  5. Don't think you'll find anything I've said suggests he's a ' yes man' . I was referring to Lansdown's preference for them. However I note Davfevs and KITR liked your post so abiding by the rules of OTIB, I'll have to accept I'm wrong
  6. Are you struggling with this? I know nothing about this guy, but like many on here I've witnessed Lansdown struggling with strong personalities over the years, his knee jerk reaction being to bring in a manager he can control. Therefore I wait to be pleasantly surprised. But I doubt I will be.
  7. Hope that's the case. We'll see.
  8. Fairly obvious that it's neither. But I think historically it's clear that he's more comfortable with a sycophant in charge.
  9. Possibly because we know by now that our owner is remarkably fond of them.
  10. That's the plan. If it happens I'll let you know.
  11. Mine's definitely not. As stated elsewhere will turn up saturday to say my fond farewell to the Lansdowns and then won't return till they're gone. Considered giving them away, but I want those seats to remain empty. Pointless I accept, but it's about principles isn't it?
  12. I'll be going Saturday, but purely so I get the opportunity to let the Lansdowns know what I think of them. After that I'll hang up the season tickets until they're gone.
  13. Christ! So that's spectacularly dim then...
  14. How the **** do you know that? Properly funded and supported of course he could have
  15. Knew what you meant. Guess this depends on Nige joining in or not
  16. Well technically he can't sack the fans and bring in new ones that he likes more
  17. Well arguably we have a voice. Maybe we should start to use it. Few well placed pro Nige , anti Lansdown songs might make me want to join in.
  18. I'm just sat here thinking metatarsal.
  19. The points valid. I was banging on about Lansdown 10+ years ago, more related to incompetence rather than the finances, which I'm not qualified to do. Happy to watch this one.
  20. Probably wouldn't use Mr Cornershop to emphasise your point. Does have a habit of repeating that same old mantra on here.
  21. The Miracle of Castel Di Sangro maybe ?
  22. Serious misdemeahour?!?! Even if you'd spelt it right I'd still be laughing till Christmas . Infantile prank maybe, but hardly worthy of the Special Branch
