So you have deduced that Manning is a yes man and  now a sycophant as well. And he has been with us for how long.

Well I am one of those struggling with this. You know very little about Manning like most of us. He has been at the club for about 6 hours but you know he is a yes man. What incredible insights you have on someone you know nothing about.

Ok, one last time. I've made it clear throughout this thread that I know nothing about Manning other than what I've read on here, and therefore despite being underwhelmed by the appointment, have nothing that I'd care to judge him on. Good luck to the guy. All my posts have referred to Lansdown and the kind of manager he prefers to work with. That's it.

    Eh?

I was just liking a post saying there is no evidence to suggest he’s a yes man.  I didn’t look at what was being quoted (your post).

You can challenge / disagree with anything I post, anytime you like.  I have no problems with that at all.

On your point on SL, which I didn’t read, I tend to agree…although I’m not sure he cares whether he has yes men or not, he just does what he likes.  I guess if you’re not a yes man, you get moved on.

Haha, sorry Dave, wasn't a dig, just made me laugh when two of otibs more respected posters appeared to disagree with me simultaneously. I know nothing about Manning , probably due to his relatively unimpressive CV, and therefore suspect that Mr Lansdown believes he'll be easier to influence than Nige was. We'll find out soon enough.

If you know nothing about him, then it's wrong for you to assert that he is a yes man.

    It's a simple as that.

Any claim made requires evidence to back it up.

Don't think you'll find anything I've said suggests he's a ' yes man' . I was referring to Lansdown's preference for them. However I note Davfevs and KITR liked your post so abiding by the rules of OTIB, I'll have to accept I'm wrong 😂

What evidence do you have that Mamming is a yes man then?

Are you struggling with this? I know nothing about this guy, but like many on here I've witnessed Lansdown struggling with strong personalities over the years, his knee jerk reaction being to bring in a manager he can control. Therefore I wait to be pleasantly surprised. But I doubt I will be.

Our owner also appointed Pearson, so are you claiming Pearson is a yes man?

Or is this you being biased because of Manning's age?

Fairly obvious that it's neither. But I think historically it's clear that he's more comfortable with a sycophant in charge.

The so called reptiles are going to be in charge for some time and beyond this season.

Tell us where your ST is Stand/Block/ seat and how much you want for it now you are not going to use it?

Let me guess ...... perhaps it was a rhetorical season ticket

Mine's definitely not. As stated elsewhere will turn up saturday to say my fond farewell to the Lansdowns and then won't return till they're gone. Considered giving them away, but I want those seats to remain empty. Pointless I accept, but it's about principles isn't it?

I'm genuinely beginning to wonder wether SL has the onset of dementia.

Mood swings, erratic decisions, lashing out at criticism, contradicting himself.

Wouldn't surprise me at all if in 12 months he was out of the public eye altogether.

This isn't a dig - dementia is a terrible, terrible incurable illness, which I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy - but he is showing all the early clinical indicators (as much as you can see from afar)

    2p

    Hmmm, I'd argue that one

Well- someone somewhere made part of that up. He was in a lowly position trying to learn his trade and certainly was not in a position to have histrionics.

The truth of the matter was that he just wasn't particularly good at his job and a pale and disappointing shadow of his father's ability and intelligence.

Christ! So that's spectacularly dim then...

    Does he. Good to know.

The point is everyone who comes here has the right to say what they want. No one has the ability to silence anyone. The idea that one can silence another on that basis is nuts.

However what does happen is a narrative takes hold and people do not post because they can not be arsed to  take the slagging they get. Which it appears to me to be an issue with threads about the Lansdowns just not the way David argues that it is

The points valid. I was banging on about Lansdown 10+ years ago, more related to incompetence rather than the finances, which I'm not qualified to do. Happy to watch this one.

Dave free speech mate you can say what you want. So can they. It’s a forum

Take from it what you will, however right now there is swath of, in some cases, nasty criticism of the Lansdown family and you point to/quote @BigTone and then have the nerve to say it’s not aimed at him!

I would suggest that it’s you that is making a big deal of people not going along with your narrative and trying to silence others!

Probably wouldn't use Mr Cornershop to emphasise your point. Does have a habit of repeating that same old mantra on here.

Hang on, are you really saying that people urinating in cups and chucking it off a balcony and landing on people, especially when they are professional footballers, people who should be role models to youngsters and are privileged to earn a fortune, is something that is not a serious misdemeanour.

Can tell you now for nothing, if I was one of the people it landed on, I would have sued them and done everything I could to make sure they never kicked a ball professionally again.

I am surprised that a serving policeman such as yourself, does not see that as a serious offence, especially given their position of trust and respect in the community. But then the MET does nothing for peoples confidence in police anymore, and it's quickly being proven, that the police are worse than those they are meant to be protecting the public from!

Serious misdemeahour?!?! Even if you'd spelt it right I'd still be  laughing till Christmas . Infantile prank maybe, but hardly worthy of the Special Branch

Hope you won £20 on your pick while that horse is made into glue

I'm not entirely disagreeing with you here, but unfortunately if you stopped all NH racing tomorrow you'd have more glue than you knew what to do with. A large proportion of these horses would be destroyed.
