First decent weather of the season, beating those ***** in two days.
Proper day at the cricket.

Well, 167 to win.
I sense the great crowd in the sun here at Taunton is about to be subjected to absolute torture.

Tbf as I said earlier you could barely see the track. With us at 15-2 now and 30 plus overs left this could be 15-18 wickets day one. I’d imagine it’ll be reported but it seemed obvious from the moment I put the stream on.
I wouldn’t be betting against 20 wickets at this point to be honest.

Utterly tragic news that Worcestershire spinner Josh Baker has died.
He took 3 wickets playing for their twos yesterday against Somerset.

Now past 600 runs for 1 wicket, and even that was a nightwatchman.
-
Somerset currently 540/1 with the ball since getting Hameed in the Notts game. Even with Overton back I do not see how this attack takes 20 wickets consistently. A fair old while since they’ve won a game without having Matt Henry.
When Leach is back fit I really hope they take the decision to try and play on spinning pitches at Taunton and use Leach and Bashir as this seam attack just isn’t going to win games.

Thanks for the memories x

Backstabbing little slime balls.
I’m no lover of Liam Manning or the football his team plays, but I pity any City manager that has to deal with them.

I’m sorry, am I reading this correctly?
The Technical Director has appeared on a podcast hosted by.. Tony Wilkins?!
That is such a Bristol Rovers move that my little brain can’t even comprehend it.

The summer will go well because the club (ie owners & senior, respected managers will back Liam) so you have no reason to have a bad feeling. And what the hell do you mean by regression? Since when, since Cotts or since Johnson? There has been zero regression since Pearson lef; the players are happier, the cup run, we beat or draw with top teams, we smash poor teams etc etc - sometimes the negativity of you (and others) posts is simply baffling. What regression can you possibly mean?
I thank god daily that I’m not as thick as you.

Oh and Richard Gould was there with his dog. I was wondering if Nige was there, he’s a big cricket fan and supports Notts I believe.
He was certainly at the Notts game last summer, I think I saw he was on Sky for the Leicester game yesterday though.

Two absolutely brilliant days in the sun at Taunton, genuinely nothing better.

We’re playing them at the moment aren’t we?

Thank god for that, well done Kasey.
I know lots of people might say this about the team they support, but I really am more and more confident that there can’t be a sports team in the world that put their fans through it like Somerset.

You couldn’t make this up.
Competed really well over the vast majority of this game, utterly ridiculous hour on the first day losing 7/20 and then just throwing away three wickets today when Surrey had pretty much given up and were about ten minutes from shaking hands.
-
I actually can’t believe they’ve managed to get themselves in this situation from where they were half hour ago.
-
Beats me how anyone has heard any of his interviews over the last seven or eight years and actually wants to hear another one.

He might be really good if he could stand up for five minutes at a time, unfortunately any time anyone goes near him he pathetically falls over.

People were utterly bored out of their box and desperate to do literally anything else I’d imagine.
Thankfully as a superfan I was there to see our goal.

Mate, we won 5-0 a few days ago and won 3 in a row at home prior to today! A bit of perspective!
Did we? I didn’t know that. Thanks for clearing that up.

Another throughly miserable afternoon at Ashton Gate watching this tepid garbage.
If this football is the best way of being successful the sport will die.

I hate to admit this, but what difference does using this ball make?
Only swings for a few overs, barely has a seam and goes soft quickly.
Glad to see the back of that season.

A boring team having a boring season playing boring football, obviously a decent run before today to end the season, but it’s all so thoroughly boring.
I gave in and renewed the season ticket so I hope I feel different in August, but to be honest I doubt it.
