Walking back to the car last night I had a brief chat with a couple of Forest fans. They asked who our number 3 was and said they thought he was the best player on the pitch. They also thought that they were fortunate not lose and said if City play as well in the replay then we’ll beat them.

Nice comments to hear from opposition fans.

Did they say we were the bestest fans and the most loudest only just behind their real favourites the Saggy Roverzzz?

Might look prettier than the old 'megastore' but nowhere near as good! Surprised the club/ BS Group don't have another small outlet in Broadmead all year round

They used to but it was hardly ever used.

Were there really that many? Wow. I remember not really being able to see much, and extremely disappointed as John Pender put in the equaliser. It seemed to take forever to get over the line.

My memories of that match are that it was freezing cold, and big Joe Jordan got his ass kicked all over the pitch by their centre half Wilson.  And Joe hardly laid a finger on him.

Obviously Klopp had got his resignation in before they could knock Liverpool out……

Yeah, he probably realised there was a very remote chance that Liverpool might have been invaded by the Saggy hordes, and felt that was too much of a gamble to be taken ever again.

Hence...I'm off, never to manage another English club again.  That should do it!

The boring answer was that when the club was formed in 1865, they bought 12 tasseled caps in colour of Garibaldi red (named after the Italian freedom fighter and his ‘redshirts’) Thus our nickname is the Garibaldi Reds. Our first ground was at the Forest Racecourse hence, Nottingham Forest. The whole Robin Hood nonsense happened a lot later.

    Right thanks for that.

Our nickname is The Robins, because we play in, um, brown and orange!

I was there to see our new lights and a great Wolves team.

And support. They filled the area behind the goal in the East End and sang all the way through the game.

I can't recall our lot doing that, and I'm pretty sure that's what started our original Eastenders forming and....the rest is history.

Please correct me if I'm wrong.  👍

    At least it's still there.

The Tote End is now Skandinavian room displays, a warehouse and flat bed trolleys with dodgy wheels

I had a shock when I tried to put a laugh on this post, I had run out of entries!  Shock!! Then I noticed my name was in black.  I hadn't realised my subscription had elapsed. Mug!

All renewed now and laugh entered.

£5 a year?  It's worth at least that just for the laughs this thread gives!

Hopefully, the new owner is an asset stripper who moves them to Cheltenham or Swinetown for a few years whilst the ground is being redeveloped, then announces an about turn and flogs the lot leaving them homeless  all the while reducing spend on the club as they fall back towards being #nonleagueroverzz#

    If Heineken made films.....

Some folk I know who were sat in the away section of the new stand when a family of gas heads sat among them!  "Dad, I think we're in the wrong stand" was heard before they shuffled off!

    Brilliant.

Ok, I think we'd better mooove!

A structural engineer does the maths for the steel/support beams/RSJ etc to ensures your build can support itself.

I'm sure he'd be cool about pillars possibly being removed 😳

Not a problem. Just fit a few skyhooks, job's a good 'un!

Walking towards the underpasses post match two policemen were stood at the footpath by the cottages. There was an overwhelming smell of weed everywhere and I asked one if they could smell it - he grinned and shrugged his shoulders………:dunno:

    Shrugged his shoulders!!!

The b☆☆☆☆☆d!  Did you get his number and report him For gross misconduct?

They shouldn't be able to get away with stuff like that!
