The horse punching tent dwelling minnows are liked by more people than the one team in Bristol.

FFS i really dont understand this type of attitude, do you not remember how good proper derby days were with them? Do you not think this is what makes football special having bitter rivals..?mate football is at the worst it has ever been, watered down crap for the most part. You take this kind of thing away and what are you left with? A plastic corporate heap of shit! If you cant enjoy and embrace a good rivalry with your City neighbours then fo0k me why dont we all just give up City and take up bowls on a Saturday afternoon ay?

I've been at every Bristol Derby since 89 so I understand THE rivalry from back then.... Sadly it's dead and buried under 16 years of nothingness... Rovers are about as much rivals as Oxford and Plymouth A..

We are light years ahead in infrastructure and finances so to call them ligitamate rivals is just plain ******* stupid..

the he only Rival is the fear that has always existed, the fear of playing them again on a level playing field, personally I feel they've more chance o being relegated than promoted from league 1..

    In what way?

In the way that you are all obsessing over Rovers... They've done well fair play to them but at the end of the day there just another league 1 football team..

I don't understand why you don't just discuss the championship or something relevant to our club? Rovers are none of those

Has your account been hacked by a sag head? Only asking because your post is very defensive of them.

You do realise their new owner hasn't got a penny to scratch his ads withz right?

Agreed... Totally onesided post and miles of the mark.. Embarrassing even!!

Whatever happens and whater division we are in, it is at least possible to beleive a better future after Higgs nearly gambled it all away.

I am not taken in by the bluster and speculation of how much the Al Qadis are or arent worth, but they at least seem to come over a damn site more business savvy then.the last lot.

Hopefully we go up and with you lot safe in the championship things will be positive for football in Bristol at least. Maybe in the Rugby as well if they dont screw up again.

Hopefully we can.join you in the championship in the near future and not necessarily 3.promotions on the bounce

There's Probally more chance of you guy's seeing league 2 again than the Championship.... IMO!

The infrastructure remains unchanged with poor vehicular access and inadequate parking.

That could describe Anfield, Goodison, White Hart Lane or Chelsea etc, surely they are not suggesting that their school sports ground will be better than those grounds just because they have a car park?

The facilities are such that its main source of income is only ever going to be football. A modern football stadium needs to move with the times and become multi-fuctional.

Have they not seen the facilities that are already available and will only increase once the West Stand is finished? They are the epitome of what a modern multi functional stadium should provide. Their facilities will be difficult to ask during term time, due to traffic and parking restrictions.

    Exactly this ^^^

Aren't we also holding 4 concerts a year and building a Hotel on the wicks site?....

One thing that is blatantly clear about Rovers fans and this has been the case for quite some time is that they only see what they want to see and choose to ignore the blatantly obvious!!

I'm pretty sure UWE will be built now. Can't see it being bigger than AG though. I'm sure the original capacity was chosen by NH as 21,700, because pre-redevelopment your capacity was 21,490. There is room for a second tier taking it to about 26,000 and potential for a third to take it to 35,000. Can't see Wael trying to cram in an extra 1,001 seats just to play our ground's bigger than yours. Doesn't seem to be his style.

In all Honesty 21,700 is far to big for you guy's... 26,000 would be ridiculous!

  8. Another totally clueless post from Sagchat.....

in 2009 Bristol City were 10th in the Championship and he sold shares in his Company to invest over £40 miillion in the club and its new ground. 1n 2016 after investing his money , they are 19th in the Championship and they have a ground which may have been spruced up very well but is in every respect an old fashioned set up. The infrastructure remains unchanged with poor vehicular access and inadequate parking. The facilities are such that its main source of income is only ever going to be football. A modern football stadium needs to move with the times and become multi-fuctional.

I love the way they say 'spruced up' as if the grounds just had a coat of paint :) Ashton gate is a proper football ground, we have an abundance of pubs around the ground and we are still playing at our ancestral home... There is an atmosphere present as is true with all proper football grounds and totally the opposite for the new soulless bowl type blue print that see's different grounds up and down the country with the only difference being the colour of the seats or a Homebase or B and Q.....The Jealousy is enormous bless them..

Ill take Our home over any of them thank you!!
