Am I alone in thinking I'm in the silent majority that are pretty fed up with the current situation, unhappy at how the Pearson situation was handled BUT completely willing to wait til next season to judge manning (where he WILL be judged from game 1 onwards)?
Theres a lot of noise about manning out etc but do most fans feel like me ?
Not looking to knock anyones opinion (2024 has been dreadful and masked from looking even worse by the FA cup), just sometimes the loudest voices portray a larger sentiment than the reality.

This club won’t ever progress until it stops getting signings wrong. Signing Mehmeti and McCrorie for over £3m when you don’t have much money is ridiculous
Ironic thing is we do have money!
Scott and semenyo sales nowhere near 'spent'

I'll eat humble pie on this one. I thought he was overrated and we'd picked Bournemouths pocket.
He looks like he could be unstoppable in a couple of years. Heading for a bigger club soon for a healthy profit. With Toney reported to be £50 million minimum he could easily be £25 million soon
Yeah likewise...I thought he would barely play and be at a top 6 championship team on loan by now.
Really pleased to have been proved wrong though and pleased to see him doing well.

Interesting to see a lot of people saying he isnt as good as Conway (a year ago)....

1 year into the 3 year timescale it's safe to say we didnt rob Bournmouth.
With a ten million pound fee,its looking like perhaps bournmouth robbed us with Semenyo very much looking a premier league striker now.

Criticise tinnions post playing career all you like but in regards to his playing career comments like 'dining off 1 goal in 1994' either never saw his playing career for us or are talking rubbish.

What interests me is how much ground they cover compared to us semi-pro/amateurs. I average about 7km as a CB and 8-8.5 as a CM and I'm one of the more mobile midfielders.
I'm also nowhere near those sprint speeds either, despite being one of our quickest I am at the higher end of that vereran bracket now though, so I'll cut myself some slack
I have 5 a side later at goals...I feel like I will sprint at least 1km but unfortunately that's literally how I 'feel'!

Unfortunately that data costs £££s.
Here’s some stuff:
Below is an interesting pic of how speed is impacted as you get older, by position.
What I do know from chatting to Dave Rennie is that by the end of last season we were regularly outrunning our opponents. Kompany told him his team couldn’t believe the change over the season.
This season the eye test opening 10 games was that other teams players were suffering from cramp, blowing up. Ipswich (h) was a game where they were blowing out their arses as we pressed for an equaliser.
I only watched part of the “acronym Derby” last night, but it was full-tilt wasn’t it?
Thanks, I figured there was a reason you dont see it analysed by disgruntled fans after every loss !
Certainly appeared to be from QPRs perspective a full tilt, press and keep running performance .
Eyes can be deceiving right. I think bruno fernandes is one of the top runners in the prem which surprised me until I remembered he runs a good couple of miles chasing the ref to complain every match....

One for Dave Fevs perhaps whose analysis and commentary is always enjoyed
Who covers the most distance per 90 in our team ?
How does our team distance per 90 compare to other teams ? Has it changed much in regards to Pearson v Manning ?
To my naked eye last night it appeared QPR were really putting a shift in in terms of pure running but I'm conscious even things like camera angles can be misleading in this regards .
I also know its not just about distance run but where but I'd be interested if the data is easily shareable.

I'm saying this tongue in cheek but...
When we have the ball we should treat it like rugby. Play for territory. Long balls into the corner from which we frantically press to win it back and score.
The aim is for us to only ever have the ball when they dont have 10 men behind it in their own half as that seems to be when we have problems. If we pass it more than 3 times in our own half the 4th pass should go straight out for a throw deep in their half!
Obviously this is a joke suggestion but would it have been any worse on Saturday ?
P.s. what would this hybrid tactic of rugby/wimbledon/gegenpressing be called ? Tikka tacky? Hoof and press ?

I don't see the 6 points we need coming from these games.
We wont need 6 (from these ) to get sucked in .
Agree we will struggle to get 6!

The next 6 games would have to yield 2 points or less for us to get sucked in , in my opinion.
That isnt impossible but I'd suggest unlikely ...
Fyi those fixtures are
Ipswich (a)
Swansea (h)
WBA (a)
Leicester (h)
Plymouth (a)
Sunderland (a) -
In the first half of the season Sykes was one of our best players running down the right. He was creative and set up chances. He has great cross on him and can link up well with other players. Overall a very tidy player.
Why was he on the left yesterday?
Dont think he looked anywhere near as comfortable and we didnt even try him on the right at any point.
Surely Manning has seen loads of footage from our earlier games in the season? I wouldnt mind if we had salah on the right wing and sykes was doing a job for the team, however creativity and quality (something sykes has shown he has on the right ) is literally the thing we are missing at the moment.
Am I alone in by befuzzlement?

Why Sid?
I am either very slow today or have missed this name for Tinnion somehow ?

Is there an update on the Visa issue in belgium ? Sounded like some people were trying to verify the story

Didn't he suffer a really bad injury for us towards the end of the season? Knee I think? Was never the same after.
Perhaps, wasnt he also in the car crash with amankwah ?

Aaron brown had a very strange career.
Was very good for us and one of the best attacking youngsters in the league under wilson. However then seemed to lose his way and that ended up being his peak.

Yeah I thoguht it was a bit hollow to only offer one service as free in the aim of being 'green'.
I also liked them promoting walking trails for an evening match! Pretty dark walking round Ashton court at 7pm in February!

I would say in the cup games....since half time at west ham everything about our performances have been superb apart from in the final third. We are just toothless unfortunately. I really hope with Twines arrival we will pick up a few more goals from set pieces at the very least.
It is almost like we are more suited to playing prem teams than championship ones!

A game vs mk Don's at home a few years back was an embarrassment to football . So poor from both teams

Thisisbristol is probably as good as anywhere if you can somehow navigate all the ads.

According to the commentator in the Ipswich v norwich game Ashton had McKenna on a shortlist for the job here.
I call classic Mark Ashton BS.

Dont know if we need to eat humble pie over Ashton. He was a huge problem in many ways during his time here , including alienating a large part of the fan base with his demeanour.
Dont forget the Holden debacle was firmly his own doing.

Yeah fair point. The away support booing/mocking today concerns me as it's the absolute hardcore turning against the current situation.
To expand on my original post further . I am furious at JL and Tinnion and think how they handled the Pearson situation.
I'd normally give a manger 18 months before judging them too much but given the circumstances i was happy to pretty much write off this season and then judge manning from game 1. FWIW I would have been getting v nervy if we had not beaten swansea and might have started thinking about mannings position more deeply. However, I think we will be safe so figure give manning the summer as it isnt his fault how he was appointed...
Also FWIW I am very sceptical about some of his decisions, but again prepared to give him the summer to work things out and be in the top 10 minimum (JL and BTs minimum expectation)
