Won promotion.
Fair play to them regardless of some of our feelings about Ashton.
They've had a great last 10 to 15 games.
Be interesting to see how they do next year.

To be honest if he goes somewhere on loan he is more likely to go somewhere like Southampton or another team likely to be in the promotion mix.
Not saying we cant be in the mix.
Geography may also play a part. E.g. if he signed for fulham then perhaps a loan at watford so he can settle into London etc

This looks like a sensible step towards something all cricket fans can largely get behind.
I have never known a sport deliberately alienate it's own core market in the way the ECB did with the 100!

Josh Brownhill and Adam Webster......every time. They are both outstanding, and if we had them still in our side...................we would be top 6. I cannot believe the low vote for Josh, he was probably the best midfielder in the Championship this season, as shown by his selection in the Championship team of the year?
Agree brownhill under rated during his time here althoguh poll based on season with us, not what they've gone onto become

Congratulations to Alex Scott for both winning the young player of the year award and getting in the team of the season.
Clearly destined for much greater things. However , seeing brownhill in there too and hearing steven Caulker on the under the cosh podcast made me think , who in a championship season for us has been the best (not necessarily gone onto be the best player).
Caulker for me, dont think I've seen a player for us so obviously better than everyone else.
Looking at this list made me realise how lucky we have been in the last 15 years or so.

At half time they dont even announce the scores anymore.
I wouldnt mind but it's not like their is a packed half time entertainment schedule.
How much effort is it to out the scores on the screen and read them out ? It's pretty much of interest to every fan in the ground too

Dont you think the behaviour of players has crossed a line now.
There has always been gamesmanship but all the injuries that aren't injuries, little kicks of the ball away and by far the worse just plain dissent has gone into overdrive in the last couple of years.
We all know the refs make big mistakes but its appalling how some players treat the officials (whoever you support)

It's good to raise awareness but it's pretty flaky to be honest. The industry and world.needs to change.
We score 3 out of 3 for transport but the team flys to away games and gets the coach to drive up on its own.
These sorts of things are very misleading even though its clearly good for us to be 2nd out of 72 within the parameters set

One of Danny Wilson’s numerous baffling transfer deadline day (blimey, remember that? Junior Bent & Nicky Morgan in 89/90, much more like it!) signings that made absolutely no impression whatsoever.
Caskey was an unused sub for us several times but he never even got on the pitch.
Tony Hey was an even more obscure one.
As you say Caskey resembled Beadle after his playing career, the problem was he was still meant to be a footballer.
Forgot all about Tony Hey ! Probably for the best.

Having a decent management career it seems

I agree with what NP says about players not wanting to be here but massengo started games earlier this season so clearly the huddersfield 'goodbye' wasnt a problem.
Was birmingham away his last appearance? If so that team performance of which he was part of seems to have been the final straw

Well straight after game I said “gone” but. Go to Huddersfield and win our game in hand only 8 points behind then Blackpool home next sat
'Only 8' !

Both more like.
Agree
It seems incompatible to some people to grasp that it is possible to dislike the guy and still think he has been a great manager .
For some it seems to be either or!

This year William's has probably been available more than most of the squad no?
Cant think of too many matchday squads as he has been left out of

Some absolutely embarrassing nonsense posted in it, no idea why anyone thought it was even a 1% chance.
Spot on. Anyone talking about us making the play offs in the last week just in absolute different world.

Sergio gomez came on 3 times and Dasilva came on about ten minutes after he actually entered the pitch according to the announcer!
And don't even get me started on how the john moston situation was handled (appreciate there were tv constraints but just announce it and fans could have clapped for longer!)

I thought he was poor. Called Max Ben Amos at one point, said Weimann was in poor goalscoring form without noting he was injured for a chunk. Few times I thought he just didn’t seem at all interested!
Compared to the normal ones though I thought he was a massive upgrade.
Not trying to defend him overly but
A) weimann is in poor goal scoring form this season (pre injury) compared to last year
B) mixing up the keepers is poor but people do make mistakes. Was the only time he did it. Talked about Amos being ever present in Wigan's promotion campaign etc so wasnt like it was poor research.

Alan Parry on the commentary who used to do the prem for years made a big difference! A lot better than the normal commentators

Miles better than Gallagher. Gallagher is going to be a solid Premiership pro. Scott's ceiling is way higher
Cant see how anyone can say he is miles better than Gallagher who banged in a load of goals for Palace in the prem last season.
Scott has a long way to go but he does have time on his side.
You are of course entitled to your opinion.

I have never seen a player who looked so delighted to win when we won as him.
He was always buzzing, you could see what winning (I'm sure whoever it was with) meant to him.
He could play too

The actual state of it!
'Throw your support around with this Bristol city bouncy ball'
Imagine us all turning up at the Gate and chucking them around the concourse !
Absolute tinpot from the club. Lansdown et al talk about being premier league etc but this is embarrassing.

There's a massive difference tbh. Massengo gave us one great performance in every 20 games with plenty of very ordinary ones in the other 19, Scott averages you one great one, three good ones and one ordinary one every five, also has an U19 Euro's final win where he started under his belt and will end up in the U21's before the season is out. Massengo hasn't got what Scott did yesterday in his locker, he's not that player.
There are threads on how amazing massengo is/was going to be not a million miles off what people are saying about Scott.
I'm not criticising him, he is superb! I'm just saying lets keep our praise in check too. Young players go through phases.
The great thing for scott is every 2 or 3 months his good performances seem to be more common. He wasnt playing like this in October/November when the team was struggling, hopefully hes growing in confidence and this is helping the rest of the team too.
Hes an incredibly talented young player , but we still need to be patient with him and he needs to keep doing what he is doing. Keeping his head down, working hard etc etc

He is incredible for his age but we need to keep calm and keep a perspective.
It was only preston away last season that everyone was raving about massengos performance
He is certainly in superb form at the moment and it's a joy to see him, bell and many others in the team thriving.

City delighted to launch rewards scheme.....scheme set to launch soon

They didn't play it today in fact the pre match music in the build-up was altogether better I thought.
Think they learned their lesson from last time !
It wasnt that I was saying it is a bad song generally, but for wba in particular it is because they love it and have done for many years! Away end was bouncing last time.
Of course one other effective strategy to quieten the away end is to get Sam Bell to score an early screamer right in front of it ...
