That Swindon game, the atmosphere by far one of the nasiest I've been in, a couple of Swindon players couldn't escape sone angry enclosure fans, I think the htv west report on this was on the end of mike js for that season.

I remember as they let them out with their coaches backed into the gap between open end and dolman there was a mass surge where many city fans got past the police line and took their vengeance out on swindle fans trying to board their coaches as said the atmosphere was toxic and I remember a police van being turned over in the park near the gates chaos !

Years ago as amateur side in Bristol we used to all meet up in boozer about 11 and draw out of hat first goal scorer for a £1 drink till about 2 then around a mates house where his Mrs would put on a large spread before game , half time into back garden bit of team keepy up back in second half then back to boozer full time GREAT DAYS

    My interpretation would be that

    a) there’s the 15,000 maximum which they apparently won’t go beyond so that they have enough POTD, and

    b) another figure which they’ll have as a target. I’d assume that will be something internal, part of the budgeting, and not made public, but let’s say 14,000 (roughly last years)

So they’ll keep pushing them even if they hit the 14,000 ; ideally they get up to the maximum and then stop.

Not sure how I feel about the 15,000 limit; do you know if anyone from the club has explained that? I’d just assumed they’d want to sell as many season tickets as there are seats!

I think your right Dave , the club will keep selling seats throughout summer and the season plus the half tickets at Christmas, I don’t know why they then don’t start selling block bookings ie 4 games at a time at a slightly reduced rate anything that helps to sell tickets -we could with a couple of good signings hit the 16000 mark and I still think club SHOULD continue to sell tickets if there required as they say “ only one good season away “then if you didn’t own a seat it would be hard work with less than 5000 left for pod  fans

So we've gone from criticising SL+ for not spending the Scott money and now we are linked with a player for £5m we're criticising SL+ for spending the Scott money.

    Our fans are pathetic

The comments came accross in a way to me that could potentially cause more harm than good.

On the one hand Mr Manning is saying he wants players to be all in and that players shouldn't jump ship etc, but that's exactly what he himself did at Oxford.

We all know that if say a Southampton came in for Manning 2moro he'd be gone so that talk he gave is just rubbish really.

I think most of us would say Manning jumped from league one to the Championship too soon, but here he is criticising players for wanting to also progress their careers.

Oxford in playoffs with basically mannings team so he did a fairly good job assembling them last summer now let’s give him a chance with us to see if he can repeat

Nice to see the club doing something like this for a group of fans.

I have a genuine question for those that are involved in this relationship - will this be a rare example of an actual FRIENDLY? For example will there be an away/home end? Presumably Willem II fans will be welcome in the normal home City pubs?

To be clear: I love it if this is the case. I'm all for actual friendlies and fraternal bonding between different clubs, wish there was more of it.

I’m 100% sure this will be a day fans mix more than you’d ever know , my sons been going there for years

  7. Bit early I know but does anyone know if there’s a city gig this year in Weston , I’ve attended everyone so far and have to say they get larger support year upon year - great day out and chance to meet up with mates and chat about new season ahead

  9. Look we want clobber when we’re out with Mrs to look smart but we want to be recognised as city fans but we want it smart ie check shirts with a small crest on pocket - look at what people are wearing and it ain’t baggy hoodies with Bristol City wrote down arms

  11. It’s about time someone took hold of shop designs and gave the fans what they want , casual wear is going to sell better than tops with BRISTOL CITY emblazed across them . Fans these days prefer small club badges on coloured TShirts other than red , nice pastel shades + plus cargo shorts with small robin on left leg come on city give us some clobber we can wear , ie nice short sleeve shirt with small robin on pocket that’s all we need these items would sell far better than a top with Bristol City wrote up the arm x

  12. I think the club would be happy with a 17500 season ticket cap , of course should the unthinkable happen then the request for season tickets would be so , that seats just wouldn’t be available and it would be prioritised to season ticket holders hence the increased growth in holders BUT I’ve been told 17500 is the figure and by end of this season we MIGHT not be far off that , then it’s a bum fight !

How is any reduction in ticket sales “gone very well”? This is a football club. It’s not like buying tickets for something where there are multiple options that can impact sales. If numbers are down, it’s because people either aren’t happy or have been priced out of going. Neither is a good thing.

Long way to go of course. General sale might be booming and good luck to anyone wanting to invest. Just find that particular comment strange.

There is no reduction in ticket sales in fact it UP. 2000 on this time last year , for every person who doesn’t renew there’s a new fan in the wings

I’m confused, how can the south stand be “sold out” if they aren’t letting anyone buy STs there?!

Because it was sold out last season and any available could be gone due to seat moves
