Tbf it’s not a bad idea, but I’d go further. I realise the club aren’t looking to make money on the £1 tickets - moreso on the adult tickets - but the thing here has to be bums on seats, and try and hook kids for the future. Go out to all the local clubs in the Hanham Minor League and offer them, say, 25 free tickets. Put them in half the Atyeo. Get the bums on seats, get the merchandise sold, get the money from the concessions. Be imaginative. Rotherham aren’t selling it out so you can use the space at limited costs and maybe snare a load of future fans and income.

I totally agree Rotherham WONT bring more than a coach full so fill it with fans of the future , give free batches of tickets to all schools and boy’s football clubs , I’m sure you could print 3000 kid’s tickets and distribute them before last home game

Winning five in a row won’t be enough to reach the pray-offs but it will mean that the entire club, fans included will be far more confident going into the next campaign and that’s before any summer business when we’ll see some additions to strengthen the squad.

And these will be players he wants not inherited

  3. These moaners , the anti manning mob need to take a look at Luton manager rob Edwards who was manager at FGR then went to Watford they SACKED him after 4 months he then made them look silly by taking a less fancied team to the PREM -LUTON TOWN

It's a great thought but i'm afraid if we won all our remaining games 4-0 there would still be many on here having a moan.

I really don't understand this, why would it mean nothing ?

It would probably mean nothing to a lot of the moaning brigade on here but this club will continue to grow in my opinion as you only need to see record attendances this season .families are attending football as an outdoor family activity and if these moaners don’t attend they won’t be missed, at the end of the day it’s about supporting your club win or lose .

  5. It would be great now if fans could come along to the gate in their thousands and support and enjoy the rest of season now the pressure is off , I’d also like to see the players enjoy it and play with a smile on their faces and interact with the fans more , come on let’s all enjoy it and get behind the lads

But we don’t? We fire managers so infrequently. And partly because of this we often (always ) back the wrong horses, who then land us with a load of players who are surplus to requirements. We’re a cushy club (Marley “training is too much like hard work” Watkins for example).

I don’t want to mention the lord god our saviour Nigel Pearson over the Easter weekend and all, but whatever you thought of him, he changed the culture of the club. We were no longer cushy Bristol City.

And now, with JL and BT looking after footballing matters, we’ll be cushy again.

Thus the cycle repeats under cyclical Steve. It’s all so predictable.

So you bring in someone else he wants his own entourage then he wants to change style of play and who’s to say he’s any better what we need is stability and marquee signings in the summer not 5 division 1 players but a striker 10 million at least and also a good keeper

doesn’t matter who runs these players their mid table at best pep would struggle to get a tune out of em

Who are the ‘dross’ players that Pearson signed that you are referring to?

We cannot keep hiring and firing managers. It’s time to consolidate and face up to facts that we are a Mid table championship side. It’s time to support the manager and the club and team and forget all about Pearson time. Will tell if the hierarchy have made the wrong decision come on you reds

I’m not convinced they do on average. I think they are just as likely to grab a pint in north street and buy a Clark’s pasty. They’re only a captive audience for 90 minutes. And they’re more likely to be Bristolian or aware of the amenities around the stadium. Our club shop is absolute litter as well so I don’t think they are spending there.

All I can see is they maybe have 1-2 pints on the concourse on the day over what a season ticket holder may spend, which is far less than a season ticket holder over the course

They are also only likely to even be there for a glamour match for which we would sell out anyway or a cheap promotional potd ticket - a category A / gold game however the club market it now, or a promotional giveaway such as a bring a friend for a tenner game to season ticket holders. It seems to me we are banking on good cup draws in reality.

As a season ticket holder I think season ticket holders probably spend as much as anyone else , I attend the supporters club before every home game and you have a job to get a seat 2 hrs before Ko and I know most people that go in there and nearly all are season ticket holders

  10. So the activists who are not renewing season tickets-is it because of increase in pricing , which by the way falls in line with most other increases in the football league  or

is it because team ( by the way is still NP team )is not performing above average  or

the new manager ( young manager ) is trying to implement a different style but is failing , maybe needs funding for summer transfer window  or

we’re continually blaming owners who have made a few mistakes ( that happens ) but has invested heavily and without that investment our ground would be behind our neighbours up north Bristol or our academy which has saved us due to millions of £ of transfer returns , where do you find owners like this again , also who’s hands are tied by FFP ruling  NO these activists or should I call them sheep are entitled to their own opinion as are we all but I bet it’s the same ones that will come running back if we have a good season, the faithful 12000 or so who turn up EVERY game will still be there so their actions make no difference in fact  I prefer when the whingers are absent

  11. Well I took the plunge as a Bristol city supporter and I’m still proud to be a Bristol city supporter in a very competitive league , probably in the top 6 in Europe,This division is a hard one to compete in due to parachute payments of yo yo teams like Burnley’s and sheff Utds if you look at league table I’m not sure if any of the btm 11 teams are still in receipt of these payments so there’s an excuse for league positions but he ho what else does one do but become depressed with their team but we live in hope and don’t forget shopping with her in doors or leave home at 11 have a few beers and shout at the red shirts

  12. What do we do get rid now bring in **** knows who or give manning summer hope he gets a budget bigger than league 1 players as we seem to be fast ending up a league 1 team  and group the squad together singing from same Hyme sheet ?

I think disrespect and arrogance personally. They will know from this forum that the majority of fans don’t want Tinnion in his current role. They can’t be that out of touch. No need for Tinnion to be shown on the marketing- reckon Man City or Arsenal have Begiristain or Edu on theirs!? So bizarre and inflammatory. It’s a clear message - they don’t care what we think.

What the **** has tinnion ever done bar get the sack ok scored a goal in fa cup at Liverpool, how far back was that and before you answer NOT INTERESTED the guy has zero nous about football management and should be no where near first team

Don’t bank on it. That’s the best case scenario. Is more likely to be a relegation battle I reckon.

The increase in ticket sales is minimal, about £1.80 per match , what can you buy for £1.80 not a lot . If season tickets are not renewed and low and behold the team reach the promise land you’ve got no chance of a ticket for prem football, long shot I know but come on you either support this club or not , would you be happy with 10% discount on season tickets and no investment in players !

  15. Seen more trouble in the kebab house on a sat night , which mob were the taffs as I was watching from the park wall as about 300 lept over the wall to so say join in but met by police on horse back , the Bristol lads in pub were boasting they’d just done Cardiff in park but I never seen that ?

What are the chances of being drawn into a relegation fight.?

Very likely if we continue in this vein of form.

Given that we have pretty much guaranteed our League One status, might we be looking forward to a couple of derby games next season? After they beat Southampton 3 games ago, the Teds were 4 points from the playoffs and 15 points above the relegation places, since then they've lost 3 on the bounce, 2 to teams then in the relegation places, while all the teams below them have picked up points. Now 12 points from the playoffs and only 6 above the relegation zone, and on an awful run...
