  1. And we've done the double over Wigan...think of it! The stuff that dreams are made of...
  2. I feel very much the same...decided back in the week not to drive up to Wigan and back. My son is visiting this afternoon and we'll have doubtless have an ear to the score, but the energy that saw me travel all over the country before Christmas has drained away with the apathetic performances of the side. I wasn't there on Tuesday...if there really was a revival in the second half let's hope that energises everyone today. Fair play to those making a long and deeply unglamorous journey today.
  3. But that's not very many people is it? I thought his dad was a great manager, and LJ was a tidy player. I wanted him to do well...he's been awful for that past few months, the worst sequence of results in our history is what's turned supporters against him.
  4. Good applause for the players at the end. I'm told. On the selection of Wilbs, he's one of my favourite City players. I was surprised that LJ came out and talked about "energy" and then picked the oldest player in the squad to lead the line...he doesn't help himself in my opinion...but delighted for Wilbs and the fans that made the journey.
  5. Apparently the Newcastle fans are pleased they got a point after their first half performance...
  6. I was sat at home, she made the journey...and had a great time as far as I can tell!
  7. Well, that was my daughter's view at the match...but in fairness she's not seen us for a while, and probably thought our second half performance would match the first...the two never seem to match up. Pleased with a draw in the end. Said that the atmosphere was great.
  8. Decent point, but sounds as though we fell apart in the second. Sadly predictable...but then I was expecting Newcastle to get the winner. Progress I guess.
  9. So pleased for everyone who made the trip today! We need the experience of Wilbs and GO'N to close this down now....
  10. To quote my daughter - at the match with her Liverpool supporting boyfriend - "he was shocked how not sh*t we were"!
  11. Whilst I'm at the other end of the country my contact at the ground tells me that the atmosphere is good and loud!
  12. Well, that would be a fantastic point...throwing away a three nil lead is...well, less than fantastic whatever the final score. I think that's what people are pointing out.
  13. We'll hear what a great point it was...which of course is true at kick-off, but not at half-time. Too fragile, weak. Pity, could be so much better with that squad.
  14. I'm asking myself how many matches in our entire history have we failed to win having been 3 up at half time away from home? Hoping of course for a winner...but this is a depressing collapse.
  15. Goodness. Not followed a game with such enthusiasm for quite a while!
  16. Well...the wheels haven't been fully on the wagon since the international break and our win against Forest. Hard to understand how things can have gone so wrong since then. Fine margins and all that...but we're not competing effectively, which is a recipe for disaster.
