  1. The 3rd goal that we had disallowed due to a perceived push in the back, was a lot less contact than the blatant push on Sykes? A prime example of inconsistency in refereeing? How he can penalise one, and yet ignore the far worse offence is just complete cojone's!!......if it wasn't just so pathetic?
  2. Only One 25mill player a year? Come on Steve show some ambition.....sorry, what's that?..........Ah! You meant to say, every decade?
  3. You are of course spot on as usual, and indeed his game is so much more than putting leather in the onion bag. I like him, but he does have a habit of missing solid chances? I would love to see him in tandem with Tommy as a front two again?
  4. Anyone happen to know his goals to chances ratio...................Davefevs? I would guess 1 to 10?
  5. Browsec.....it's Free and excellent. I have been using their VPN for past 9 months for all my movie downloads and streams.
  6. Slight over reaction....Ha! We have to purchase another defender so if we had retained an international class one, then we wouldn't have to spend "Another Million" (Your words not mine?) My comment was about RETAINING a player NOT buying one...before u rattle your cage, please try to get your facts straight?
  7. I follow the Bundesliga...so i know Schalke are a big club with big gates who just got relegated. It shows how highly he is rated, so if we had offered him a decent contract he would probably would have stayed IMO...and we wouldn't need to spend money on a new defender, but on his wages. He has gone, so they're you go. I understand all the long term injury aspect, but i think we made a mistake getting rid of an international defender
  8. Don't worry about the Nest Egg........Cos' according to SL's interview, we'll be selling a 25mill player every season from our High Performance Centre.......Easy?
  9. I most definitely agree with you.........I expect his career to make an upwards trajectory under Kompany.
  10. Yep ....one is a rock solid financial service's company...........the other has to contend with the notorious vagaries and trends of the fickle music business. Now I see why you made the comparison?
  11. Wazthat mean? Come back Alex?
  12. Yep...we are desperate for reinforcements in our defence, yet.........we let Tomas join a German 2nd Division club, for the sake of a few hundred grand? He was settled in Bristol, he knew the club inside and out, and despite his injury issues, it would seem he had no trouble passing the Schalke medical? Tomas was, is, and remains a class act, and at 30, has a good few years left. Yet another pheck up, in the long line of pheck ups in the contract and transfer arena by our club......and so it goes!
  13. I Definitely recall NP stating that...rather than the scatter gun approach of previous years....that he intended to only bring in players who were/are an upgrade on players who are already here. A rather broad statement, which i have, with the odd exception, seen very little evidence of? Then again, probably he had, had no previous notice of our wonderful wage restraints....which has created an untenable situation for the chance for him to markedly improve our squad?
  14. Cannot get round to reading everyone's points of view and comments, which i am certain to do later, but.............HNM signing for a Prem club and a possible Kelly 20% (Maybe not now, but likely in January)....... on top of the £30-35 mill in the bank. Yet no striker or creative midfielder, just Luton's answer to Lionel Messi (who is not even being played in his correct position ....doing him no favours?) No communication to the loyal fan base who follow through thick and THIN, and who appear to be taken for granted. It is a sad state of affairs IMHO. With Covid and it's repercussions still being felt, the state of the economy, and the mostly dire home performances, Is it too much to ask for the occasional communique from the club that we support, giving some hope and optimism for the future. All we get is...........no incoming loans or transfers, a wage ceiling that cannot be broken, and a seemingly fed up manager giving out cryptic remarks ................All that, and the worry that our chairman's holiday home in the West Indies might be hit by a Typhoon? WTF - Ha!!
  15. With our ongoing inconsistency it is impossible to know what side will turn up? At least we do tend to play better away from home? I think it will be low scoring, 1-0 home win or 1-1. But if NP plays Naismith at the back ...any score is possible?
  16. ' WOW..............the sensitive nature of his illness.....must be really extreme?
  17. "DON'T THINK IT MATTERS WHO'S IN CHARGE" Sorry i have no intention of getting involved in a discussion about the merits of NP..........But really? Your'e statement is just ludicrous? Tactics, Recruitment, Motivation, Standard of coaching, Analysing the opposition, Team selection, organising scouting, Dealing with the Chairman/Owner, Contact's & Contract's etc, etc.......Of course it doesn't matter who the manager is? Ha! Tell that to Liverpool, Chelsea and Tottenham?
  18. But for the time being they keep on attending? So I 'll get back to you after 10 games...Ha! PS. Loved "Get Back"
  19. Considering we have lost two of the best game changing players of the last ten years or so.....is it too much to ask that the loyal fan base is given some hope and entertainment for the future? While totally aware of wage restraint and budget concerns, we surely could invest a reasonable sum in a player- either a forward or midfielder - to excite and reward what i consider to be a very patient and tolerant fan base Apart from Tommy, who is, as we know injured and Ayman too, I don't see one player in our squad who could be considered a game changer? 20-22K regular supporters need to be entertained or it soon becomes 15-16K?
  20. NP always stated that he would not sign players who were not better than what we already had? I would rather have seen him sign two quality players who might change things ..... than six average ones. At one time quite recently we had what i consider 3 game changers? Scott & Semenyo have gone, and Tommy is out for three months, I don't consider any of our present team in that bracket. We are an average mid table side, with average coaches......I just hope that someone emerges from the Academy who can excite? Or we become better than the sum of our parts, by good tactics, effort and coaching......but i am not holding my breath. (Somewhere between 12th and 16th is probably where will end up)
  21. Oh Yeah? A friend of a friend Eh! Covered both sides.....if we think it 's naff your mate gets the blame.....whereas if we like it, u get the praise.....Ha!! ?
  22. Spot on.............a forward who knows how to hold the ball up and bring others into the attack would be a good start?
  23. Did u hear Birmingham supporters on Sat? I am not saying it is acoustic Perfection!......But anything would be better than the present arrangement IMO.
