  1. Well done........that's a great use of cash out. Which is apparently, according to some know it all's ..........a con and a rip off?
  2. You seem very stroppy and opinionated?.......anyhow i am bored now, as for all your bluster, you certainly don't know everything about how betting works .............. even though it's obvious you think you do?
  3. As I worked for Ladbrokes for 7 years, i actually know odds compilers at Betfair, so i will ask them............I agree it seems unlikely, as they would have offered a total price, and not individuals ones. If the bookie takes a bet, and it was advertised as such, then they have to pay out or explain to the Gambling Commission why not? PS. I regularly use Cash Out, it's a great feature, and is not a rip off IMHO.
  4. That is a valid point...re: Related contingency. But it is not technically R. C., but even so it seems strange that a bookies would take 4 individual prices as opposed to providing a one off price for the Quadruple to be achieved........so it could be a shaggy dog story? I will ask Betfair if it is true?
  5. Before the advent of the the cash out option, if you had a four timer, and the first three were winners, you would have to cross your fingers and hope the fourth selection won. If it ended up losing then it is farewell to your stake. However, as in the instance of the young lady and her bet, if she so wished she could cash out a percentage of the bet, if she felt lacking in confidence or felt 95k was a tidy sum to put in her pocket.....I fail to see how that is the bookies taking advantage? How is she being ripped off, it is all based on risk assessment
  6. In bookie's parlance.........if a person does that..........they are not using their wit's, and they are a Mug Punter. The option is there...........and.i will say it again......you do not HAVE to use it.
  7. Sorry, we will have to agree to disagree. Bookies are not a charity, it is up to the individual to take advantage of any situation, if they see fit, and have the intelligence. You do not HAVE to cash out....it is an option. I have used cashing out many times to my advantage, it is far from a con. I managed a bookies for 7 years..........and their are many ways bookies take advantage of the punters naivety .........IMHO cashing out is not one of them.
  8. In that situation, don't cash out? If you use your noggin, then cashing out is to the punter's advantage, like anything, you need to use judgement. Eg. If you have a four bet accumulator, and the first three have won, then you have an option to cash out if you are not confident about the fourth selection.......it is to the punters advantage IMHO.
  9. I also did my research........and Bradford looked a good thing.....Doh!!
  10. I don't understand your POV.........why is it a con , If it allows individuals to take out their bet early? Some years back the option did not exist, and It is a facility that i have often used. So I end up winning 70% of the bet, instead of losing everything. Please explain?
  11. I understand your scepticism............but as a long term Betfair user, I would say that it is the the sort of situation that arises......and seems credible.
  12. Yep..........just found the story, brave decision, but ultimately misguided, as Man City have a history of stunning comebacks? Even so, in her position, i do not know what i would have done?
  13. Also, while theyr'e at it..............sort out the handball rule too?
  14. As I do, every pre-season, I wager a season long bet on the various divisions. This season I did an accumulator of Fulham Champs, Wigan Champs, Burnley relegation.................and Bradford Top 7 finish! My £6 bet would have realised nearly £500, if I had not been dumb enough to pick Bradford as my 2nd Division good thing? ( Not even to get promoted, but Top 7!!) they finished 14th. Still, as frustrating as it is, It is always the case of a chain only being as strong as it's weakest link? I wondered if any forum members cleaned up, or like me, came close, but have a similar tale of...............if only?
  15. So you can never question a referees decision?........and international managers have to come from their country of origin? Boy you sound like a lot of fun?
  16. Absolutely, we'll have No wishy washy liberalism round here.........any fans who run on the pitch should be tied down by the referee, and the players should then take it in turns to stamp on them. A similar type of routine to a penalty shoot out? ?
  17. Well done Rangers..........but IMHO the better footballing side won through. And Germans just love taking penalties? Bassey was outstanding.
  18. 100% penalty VAR waste of time
  19. Talking of all things German? (Were we?) Get on Eintract Frankfurt to beat Rangers tonight......................Absolutely 100% nailed on, IMHO.
  20. ............ ........ I am never quite sure what the confused emoji signifies? A lack of coherent thinking, or the inability to conjure up a relevant reply? It is such a cop out IMHO.
  21. Beware the IDES of COD? ................
  22. COD'S Leaving.............Sykes is arriving. Although they do not exactly play in the same position. Sykes appears to be strongly motivated, ambitious and has an excellent fitness record, whereas COD n' Chips?...............Well, is IMHO a waste of a shirt. Sykes is the sort of hungry talented footballer, with the right mentality who will hopefully take this club forward. COD, has talent, but is injury prone, inconsistent and would appear to be the type of player that Pearson does not want around his squad. Sykes appears to be the future..........COD, The past. That is why i compared them.
  23. Hopefully Sykes will improve on COD's 1 goal every 20 games record? And he cannot surely be as injury prone, can he??
