  1. Estate Agent?........one step up from a serial killer....ha! Though to be fair, what a great location to be selling houses? Also, at least he got the chance to sit on the bench in some Liverpool European games...........that's really not a bad day out?
  2. Johnathan Pearce is one of the most knowledgeable and insightful commentators around., who analysis and observations are some of the very best....and a Bristol City fan. To paraphrase........"When a man is tired of Johnathan Pearce, he's tired of football" ?
  3. They should introduce follow ons and declarations into women's football? Why?
  4. I am referring more to level of technical ability and the way the team is set up tactically, rather than their league position? I have watched about 40% of the games, and while i appreciate they have lost players to the 1st team, It is the level of skill, first touch and aptitude that could be improved with better coaching IMHO?
  5. What's happened to those Peas in a Pod...........have they all ripened and fallen out of the Pod? No Peterborough review, just Autism and Chef's....I thought they were supposed to be a Football podcast?
  6. Surely the Coaching of both the first team and the Academy needs some serious attention? I appreciate that I Am lacking in coaching knowledge at a Professional level.......but surely we are not getting the best out of our players? It needs a shake up, with some fresh ideas, and some new young blood introduced, perhaps looking abroad might work, as long it's not SL doing the interviews?
  7. Stop being so pheckin ambiguous then.........ha!!
  8. Personally i believe a very valid point has been made................if it wasn't for points deductions, we would probably be on our way to the 1st Division.....it is not something that should be lightly dismissed, as it needs to be recognised that we are extremely fortunate to still be in the Championship. Next season we CANNOT afford to be so complacent, big changes are absolutely essential.
  9. If Pearson is on a performance based contract? He will be lucky to be taking home the cost of a couple of scratchcards every week?
  10. As a fellow dog owner...I commiserate, and I am so sorry to hear about your poor companion. I think your a very loyal and optimistic supporter, and well done for buying a season ticket. However, if you are looking for entertainment and something to cheer you up at Ashton Gate?................ then may I suggest you lower your expectations, buy a new dog, and spend Saturday afternoon's walking him on the Downs? The Down's League is entertaining, and you never know, you might actually see some proper football?
  11. Gas, Electricity, Fuel, Council Tax, Groceries"?...........the only thing that won't be going up in the next few years is Bristol City? I have stuck with it through thick, and mostly thin for 30 years, so I do not intend to continue squandering my income on the awful level of football on offer at Ashton Gate........until something changes.....either ownership or management, or both? Football is a sport, but also entertainment and a product, and what is on sale at the moment at the Gate?....... is sub-standard and not worth the price of admission.
  12. Which is why he won't walk........a million or two goes a long way in retirement?
  13. NP is doing a miracle? ...... C'mon now, own up? Is that Banana Kush or Durban Kush that your smokin'?
  14. I see Mark Robins is still doing an outstanding job at Coventry on a limited budget? Rightly or wrongly............The phrase "If only" springs to mind?
  15. Well done Headhunter..............always first out of the blocks, to react.
  16. Yep.........your right, we are the Everton of the Championship, Ha! As Pearson doesn't coach, he needs to bring in two new coaches, and stir up the current staleness, an older head, and a young enthusiatic, forward thinking one, possibly from Europe? If of course, he stays? Elsewhere on another incisive post, someone suggested that Pearson should maybe, occasionally look in the mirror. Instead of blaming everyone else for our demise, he should take some of the responsibility for our current plight? He is paid to manage, so he should manage, he is very fond of making excuses and throwing certain people under bus'es' . He has had sufficient time, even with all the constraints, to have introduced a style of play and tactics, and to give our side some identity, but after nearly 18 months in the job, yesterdays performance illustrates just how far we have NOT progressed under his management. But he continues to blame everything/everyone, except himself? I am torn as to whether he should stay or go ? ........but he most definitely needs to up his game, and motivate and inspire, instead of constantly playing the blame game.
  17. Um.........I believe the talent was already present in the academy, he just played them in the first team? He wasn't even manager when the trio you refer to signed for us? When you say he created them? He's not Dr Frankenstein ?........... Anyhow, i don't believe so?
  18. Great, I feel so much better......? there's so much to look forward to?
  19. Good idea..............Antoine would make a fine Quarter Back..........I can see it now, The Bemmie Down Jets.?
  20. We must be one of the few football teams in the UK who are under performing so drastically, despite having had the massive advantage of a Multi Millionaire (Billionaire?) owner? ......I bet Steve wishes he had put his money into horse racing?
  21. Your points are well made......however, I was referring to the coming season and not the current one. ?
  22. With a brief look......Luton, Coventry and Huddersfield, seem to have 7 players between them in on loan........which helps when not spending money on transfers..........but as Pearson doesn't believe in loans, that avenue is closed? If Pearson can build a top 10 Championship side without spending any money on transfer fee's, then I will not just take my hat off to him, but also my coat and trousers! Good luck to him, he'll need it?
  23. After 30 years of playing and paying my part, home and away........ I just feel that i am no longer getting value for money. So instead of a season ticket, I will be picking my games for next season. It will be interesting to see how the season ticket sales go?. I appreciate City are going through financial constraints (Aren't we all?) but Pearson stating that we will not be spending any money during the summer, especially when it is quite possible that players may be sold, and percentages may be forthcoming from the selling of ex-players, is misleading and poor PR...........IMHO. As for me spending my money, so the club can be more financially solvent? I have seen enough money squandered by the club I support, during the last 5 years to last me a lifetime? Maybe somebody can give Mark Ashton a bell and see if he's got any spare dosh? ?
  24. That'll get them Queuing round the block for Season tickets.......Great PR from "Chuckle Brother " Pearson? ..... That's a coincidence, because I won't be spending any money either.
