It’s an interesting debate as to who was/is the best all rounder in the last 60+years. There are several candidates, Richard Hadlee, Ian Botham, Freddy Flintoff, Jaques Kaliss, Ben Stokes, Kapil Dev, Colin de Grandhomme.
For me it would be Ian Botham.
Stats don’t come into it for me - mine is based on pure entertainment value.
That list is missing Imran Khan and Sobers
also
Freddy not in the same league as those others

Bazball was the greatest thing since sliced bread 2 Tests ago.
Against the poorer teams yes
But playing that type of cricket against the better sides
you will lose more games than you win
Leave that type of cricket for the T20 stuff

This must be heading towards one of our heaviest ever defeats by runs surely?
Yeah but it is bazball so its ok
Wonder how long real cricket fans will put up with losing test series to the better teams
in the name of entertainment

Should have took so and so off
should have brought on A instead of B
C D and E should have been on from the start
and why is F even getting in the team
Wrong to play formation x when y is much better for this squad
God football management is so so easy with hindsight

Six weeks of having to the pub
and putting up with the rugger fans
Every time there is a big tackle being told that if that was football he would be down for a month !!!
We can drink in the ground during the game because we are not hooligans etc etc

Assist for Andi 0-1
Wow
When players get assist for that
is why that stat is total bl####ks
Forward made that goal out of nothing
There was not a goal scoring chance when the player received the ball

Here is one for the Gas to gloat about
The Gas have had more fans watching them at home this SEASON ( 137,603)
Than we have had this YEAR (122,198)
Dont tell them they have had 18 games at home since the season started
We have had only 5 since new years day
The gap has nearly closed

Sorry but over 70% of goals in the EPL are not scored from turn overs of possession in the first third.

I would question where you are getting your stats from.
The top four in the division play forms of possession football. Burnley last season? Another yes.
Three of the top four played that kind of football last season also
Look where that got them!!
Look at Burnley this season
There was a stat on opta showing that over 70% of goals scored in the prem over last few seasons
came from teams losing the ball in their own 3rd

Nail on head
We are trying to keep possession but we are absolutely shite at it
39% possession for a possession team
Meanwhile we are forgetting our strengths of direct (not long ball) play which brought us so much success under Pearson
It is not just us though
90% of teams cant do it
The only teams i have seen win anything on a regular basis playing like this are Peps teams Man City and Barca
Most teams playing this type of football lose the ball in their own 3rd more often than they make chances to score
Stop ducking about and get the ball into the other half of the pitch Then start playing football

Just got in late from washing the car
Could somebody answer a question for me
Just turned the match on
Im sure the Red shirts of Liverpool do not clash with the famous Blue and white quarters of the Gas
So why are they playing in Yellow?
Have i missed something?

Just had a quick look
Since the new year we have had over 96,000 watching our 4 games
It has taken the Gas 14 games to get that many fans to turn up at their dump

Have they no shame?
It appears, at the behest of their new "Owner," they have resorted to selling "kids for a quid" and adults for a miserly £10.
I know they're desperate for money, but even for them, this is a step too far.
It seems doing anything immoral or illegal is okay with them.
So the Fewers/Rags/Squatters/Sags are now Traffickers as well.
Wonder what their next great (hopefully legal/moral) income-generating scheme will be?
"Hussain Al Seaweed and his team are prowed to announce our Back, Sack and Crack service, (delivered by the stunningly hirsute Irene and her team of toothless hags), our new Fungal Toenail pasty range, and our long-awaited verruca and acne-flavoured drinks (we guarentee they're out-of-date or your money back)"
Wow
If any other club bar the Gas were doing £10 tickets and quid a kid
Posters on here would be up in arms slagging off our club and the Lansdowns for not doing the same
The gas give us more than enough to rip the sh#t out of them A bit harsh doing them for this

Mickey Mouse is having a nasty divorce with Minnie Mouse.
Mickey spoke to the judge about the separation.
"I'm sorry Mickey, but I can't legally separate you two on the grounds that Minnie is mentally insane..."
Mickey replied,
"I didn't say she was mentally insane,
I said that she's F****** Goofy!"
I remember the joke as
I did not say she was sha###g Pluto - I said she was F#####g Goofy

For the first 140 odd years of the FA Cup that was a great tackle
Season 2023/24 FA Cup wit VAR it is a red card
I have to say imo the first 140 years got it right

He cant lose can he
If he is wrong it means City are doing well
If he is right He can say "I told you so"
I have a feeling He wants it to be the latter
