This fan base is so fickle at times 😂 we wouldn’t have West Ham to look forward to on Tuesday if it wasn’t for O’Leary, kept us in the game with some fantastic saves prior to our equaliser. He made a mistake just like other world class keepers do, own it, learn from it and move on.

Just like other WORLD CLASS keepers do!!!!!

That makes it sound you think he is world class Please tell me that is not the case

Every 5 minutes singing their anthem    " Come on Eileen"

That was classic football presenting 😁

Forget the fact it could be the Gas

WHY would a TV company think a top prem side playing a lower league side at home would have any national interest

If the lower league side were at home then may be

That aside, Bournemouth are the ones that get me a bit..the fact they aren't even on the radar is a bit of a surprise all things considered.

Didnt they get done a few years back when they first went up to the prem

blew FFP out of the water. Made man city look like saints and got a joke of a fine for it (£4m i think)

The 1st problem with the FA Cup is that the “reward” is well below what clubs (Prem) can get in the league. So it’s of little surprise it’s not really a priority.

Had winning it guaranteed a Champions League place then it would have cemented the competition at the top of the table (I am right in saying the Champions League is an amalgamation of the European and Cup winners cup?).

The 2nd issue is being stuck on terrestrial TV, having ITV show it is the worst of all worlds - The top clubs guarantee an audience, so we end up with the glam tie of Spurs Vs Burnley rather than seeing the real prospect of a giant killing, such as Gills vs Blades (The BBC was also guilty of this, but not to the same extent).

Im not saying Sky would be any better to the scheduling, but an open competition for the rights might raise the revenue and value of the competition- directly benefiting all clubs if win bonuses and appearance fees go up.

One radical change I would make, is to schedule the mens and women’s finals to happen on the same weekend.

Agree 100% about giving the winners a champions League spot

I would also give one the the League cup winners

Award WINNERS not 3rd and 4th place teams

But that's an issue with how VAR is used and not a problem with VAR in itself.

And in this case the ref took a second look and decided that he had made a mistake and that it was a red card offence. So therefore it meets the criteria.

But he spent over 50 seconds looking at the monitor before deciding

Which shows it was not a clear mistake in the first place

So VAR should not have got involved

Whilst I kinda agree with this on a fairness basis, if VAR wasn't used at a ground that has VAR and an incident occurred then people would be outraged that VAR wasn't used.

Not as outraged as they are with VAR

You can put up with a ref getting something wrong when he has a split second to see it and make up his mind

VAR takes an age They see things over and over in real team and slow mo Yet they still get loads wrong

That is what people can't put up with

He's clearly gone in with his studs showing which is clearly endangering an opponent.

If he had snapped the fellas leg then every one would be saying red. The contact etc is irrelevant. The key word is endanger.

You should be part of VAR

They also slow everything down to find the one picture where it looks bad

  8. What does my head in is that VAR pick and choose what they want to review

CP defender has arms around Everton players waist for 4-5 seconds (unsure on how long you can hold a player Depends on the team i guess)

Why dont they ask the ref to look at it?

In the modern game , red every day , foot off floor , studs first

No intent but dangerous / reckless

Why did it take the ref 50 seconds looking at the monitor to change his mind

If it was a clear mistake it take a few seconds max

Only just catching up on this.

Chip the potatoes, not too thin,  put them in a bowl of water for an 30-45 minutes to remove starch.  Drain and rinse.  Boil until soft, but not at the point of breaking up, put in the freezer of fridge until cold.  Heat oil to 130°C and cook the chips until they start to go golden.  Remove from oil, drain on kitchen paper, chill again, when you need them heat oil to 190°C and cook agin until the perfect colour and crispy, drain in kitchen paper and serve straight away.

This will give you a lovely, fluffy, crispy chip, you’ll never achieve the same by frying a raw potato just the once.

Some people don't like to start cooking their tea straight after finishing breakfast
