  1. After yesterday he’s got his own song now anyway! As for the new song it’s not the best but at least it’s better than no singing at all.
  2. Agreed, it was such a weird game, the first 40 minutes were horrendous, and then TGH’s thunderbastard changed the picture for half time. First 7 minutes of the second half was a shit show and prompted plenty of “Jon Lansdown, what a manual manipulator” chanting, but credit to the lads they got stuck in and saw out an unexpected win. Overall it was oddly enjoyable!
  3. So priority is to those with 4 plus away games under their belt mate?
  4. Agreed and for that reason Leyton Orient away in the Cotts promotion season is one of my all time favourites. A Tuesday night in March, 1 - 3 win and we really started to believe we’d win the bloody thing!
  5. Just watched his pre match interview. As someone who has been critical so far I have to say it was easily his best interview yet. It’s a low bar but there was something different to it, although the Johnsonisms are jarring. Disappointing to see the injury curse persists with Atkinson and Benarous, but hopefully Wells is back soon at least. Obviously it’s all about tomorrow though and seeing an improvement.
  6. Got to be the winner for me. The likes of Liam Robinson and Bas Savage were rubbish but they weren’t unpopular. Baird was rubbish and of course infamously stuck two fingers up to the Atyeo. You don’t come back from that! I’d imagine Brooker would feature high on the players lists after the Lita incident!
  7. Nah, Lita would roundhouse kick him out of the team (again)!
  8. Completely agree. Again I found him a tough listen, although the questions were very bland, apart from touching on the personal aspect very slightly. Manning speaks very quickly but manages to say very little and litters statements with almost Lee Johnson level buzz words (really don’t want to hear “principles” again!) that don’t really give any meaning. To your point though no one will care if he wins games and gets promotion.
  9. Same here I just don’t get it with him.
  10. Said elsewhere that when I read Oxford fans found him emotionless and robotic it clicked with me who he reminds me of; the android David in Prometheus!
  11. I thought that a bit, philosophies and POMOs replaced with principles and behaviours.
  12. I hope this is streamed live again could be superb viewing and listening. I also hoped some of the key questions and issues we’ve posed here are asked and answered with some honesty. It’s a risky move to do this, but if it’s done in the right way it could regain some credibility for the Lansdowns. That said if we lose heavily to Boro on the Saturday it might be a little tough!
  13. When I read the thread title I thought Lansdown had renamed the walkway behind the stand already!
  14. Well indeed. The way I always look at this is to go through the squad and assess which of them would get in Leicester’s, Ipswich’s, Leeds’ etc sides. Most would probably think very few, if any.
  15. Good bit of analysis that. He was also quoted in the Bristol Post on 29/10/23 that “we all wanted Nigel to achieve our ambition to be promoted but, with our recent results, feel that now is the time to make the change to give the club the best possible chance of success”. That certainly says to me what they are expecting from anyone coming in to replace him.
  16. Interesting in his interview he referred to Manning as “the manager” and the HPC as “the training ground” throughout. Can’t be doing that Chris!
  17. Indeed, with Lansdown’s next appointment being an ex City player, and then the next an experienced manager in this division….
  18. I think you are right, although we should be pretty unhappy about that given what would’ve been done to achieve it.
  19. If we’re in a relegation battle come the spring it will be very toxic and I’d be surprised if they are still here at that point. Who knows though, could end up with things going the other way, but no one should forget what the Lansdown’s did, and how they did it.
  20. It doesn’t matter how they try and change the narrative, we saw and heard it all clear as day when they sacked Nige.
  21. Some superb goals and photos there, also loved Christian Roberts against Hartlepool. Away from City, Deeney’s goal for Watford in the play off semi final against Nige’s Leicester is one of my favourites. That the goal came straight from a penalty miss was superb but his celebration just jumping into all the fans was fantastic:
  22. Personally I like the fact you’re not aligned to the club in any way and retain the ability to be critical and objective about the club. Even if you did get interviews with them I’d like to think it’d be well balanced. I did enjoy @Shtanley’s appearance on RobinsTV that time though, was hilarious!
  23. Absolutely. Win the next six games on the bounce and people won’t care which way he looks in interviews. Lose the next six though and he’ll be looking at the exit. FWIW I don’t like his style either, but won’t matter a jot if he wins games and gets us promotion. A lot of Oxford fans said much the same about him but didn’t care as they did well.
