Forgive my lack of enthusiasm but a rugby club that has been at the Gate 7-8 years and is now apparently getting a stand named after one of it's players in a stadium that has been a football ground for 120 years. I don't begrudge the rugby boys any success whatsoever and I'm glad that you do find something to get enthused about at the Gate because if you were relying on the football...................but everything happening with them sort of proves my point about the ownership of the football side of things that people are telling me I should be grateful about.

Been arguing for years . " You should be grateful" Why? It's not free entry.

And in the meantime I'm witnessing our club being partly erased from what was our ground.

I'm sick of this Bristol Sport. Steve Lansdowns idea and this has hampered us.

If Bristol City was wholly concentrated on,  I genuinely believe we'd be better off where we are right now and equally important, have an identity.

And to name one of our stands after a Rugby player angers me more

The thing is there not squatters any more lansdowns made sure Ashton gates as much for the rugby as it is football . Lots of rumours the south stands being renamed after a rugby player as well.

in my eye's they are Squatters

As for renaming it wouldn't surprise me one bit

If anyone from the club sees a post on here today may it be this one:

I’m not going to start a new thread because the forum is already melting. But your inability to do your jobs today has left me and so many others feeling shit. We love this club and sink most of our spare time into it. We also pay all we have to support it, and many of us don’t have all that much. Your inability to do your jobs today despite literally outnumbering your opposition has ruined many a weekend, maybe that’s on us for caring too much about one thing. I do know though that if many of us underperformed as consistently as yourselves in our jobs, we wouldn’t have one anymore. And we don’t have your savings to fall back on. Fight for our badge. Fight for your own sodding pride. And for goodness sake, don’t let our club fall once again into third tier obscurity.

This in a nutshell. And thanks to those inept excuse for professionals, this house has an atmosphere because I'm married to somebody who doesn't understand why i looked pissed off when she came home from work.

Some of us are a certain age where the only excitement that's similar to when we were in our youth, is watching our football team. Then these excuses ruin it week in, week out

It hurts less and less every week?

No. This is different. To lose against 10 men when you're chasing the game can understand. We all could.

but to be one nil and two nil up against 10 men then lose 2-3 is all too low.Shockingly embarrassing.

I've gone from being pissed off to down right angry

Preston. Luton Fulham Bournemouth. We never looked like winning whereas tonight I thought we looked a lot better.  The stats may not back me up but we had more chances than our previous home games and Bentley was a lot quieter tonight

And we sat back. Period. We tackled and battled, protecting Bentley against an average Forest side.
we hardly kept possession. The stats backs that up. We were at home and sat back hoping to hit on a break AGAIN

No, we attacked more than we have done in the last 10 home games … Scott missed an open goal and we should have had a pen. We could have won that 3-0   We haven’t looked like winning 3-0 at home for bloody ages so for me we played well    Forest have won the last 3 so they are hardly mugs.   Tonight is really frustrating but I’ve seen a lot of positives over the 90 mins

    Really?

I thought we played well tonight. We won nearly every long ball header and managed to pick up the second balls well. We Finally played a formation that suits.  I would have made the same subs,  odowda to stretch the defence with his fresh legs was the right thing to do.   Massengo should have called for the pass but baker panicked and lumped it out and the rest is history.  Baker had to attempt a challenge but it was a tired poor one   We are just mentally weak

We sat back against an average side. Yeah brilliant. For the majority we defended solidly.

    We were at HOME!

  8. It's not just the losses. It's the performances. And the every away side having the majority of possession while we wait and hit on the break.

We don't boss anyone, we are slow, unable to keep possession or have the ability to pass more than three times.

I'm gradually moving towards wanting change

    You care :)

    Trust me I dont.

I'd laugh my Cock off if they went bust.

Yeah yeah I know. Even City fans would hate me for saying that but this City isnt big enough or passionate enough for two

clubs and God knows how many Glory Hunters there are in Bristol

  10. I still think as long as we avoid defeat at Deepdale the title will probably be ours. If we lose at Preston then things may get interesting !

For Swindon to overturn a 15 point gap, even with 3 games in hand, would be remarkable given their fixtures. If we beat swindon on Tuesday then for me that's us promoted.

    Probably ? Jesus Christ !

How many points we we clear and now its down the probably ?

And yet there are those hear that post with distain towards anyone negative
