We support the same club and ultimately want the same thing… however  the Sunderland game a few days before the extraordinary Blackburn game and yesterday a few days later were frankly very, very poor performances . Beating Swansea in another low quality game and Plymouth may have assisted putting us top of a form table.. but you can’t unsee the performances, people are entitled to be offside. We all want to see the green shoots that you mention, and I know I’m going over it again, but ironically that was exactly what a lot of the us were beginning to see at the start of this season and then for reasons most of us will never understand it all changed.

Everyone will get over that at different points, I get that.  In this league nobody plays well every game and we are poor and draw then it’s not all bad is it.  Everyone needs next season to start well to help people move on and make this forum less of a shit show than it is at the moment

Thing is there’s nothing much different being dished up on the pitch week on week, we’re watching the same dross over and over and over again.. there’s nothing being offered by the club performance wise to change the narrative. And if the changes to the squad over the summer are modest as we are being led to believe and not wholesale, why should we remotely believe LM will be able to deliver anything different next term? It’s friggin depressing, I can’t get why you don’t see that?

The last 5 games we are top of the form table. That is remarkably different to the previous 5 games. We’ve just won 5-0 which wasn’t dross and nor was the Leicester game.  It’s up to you how you want to view it all.  Is it ideal? No. But I prefer to see the glimmers of hope than wallow and keep repeating the same stuff about top 6 squad etc. I work hard all week so prefer to try to find the positives in a football match, a string of results, a good 45 mins etc.

Real progress! Top six squad we were told! Progressive appointment….sorry a couple of scrappy results isn’t convincing me (and I include a 5.0 win in that which for me was almost as bad a performance as some of the others…gifted 5 goals and created little ourselves). Worried for next season, he will get the summer and first 10 games for me but I’m not convinced he is any better than LJ.

Last season was written off around the same time

What part of Mallorca our you going too ?

Alcudia. Did Cala D’Or last year.  Would like to be able to afford Tenerife as loved the north of that island a few years ago.  Have you done Mallorca ?

I don’t think his posts are bizarre.  The posts are just giving the view that he’s not impressed by Manning, nor can he see Manning progressing us.  And does it matter that he reached that view really early and has stuck to it.  At least he explains why, unlike several who just say it’s all good / it’s all bad without anything to go on. Hey-ho.

There’s so many wilful assumptions in his post(s) to make it bizarre in my view.  If you can take a 5 game chunk that is bottom 3rd form and form an opinion then you can, if you are willing, take a 5 game chunk that is top 3rd and form an equally positive opinion.  But there is no will to do so. That is clear. To say it’s too late only adds to the bizarreness. Too late because he’s formed an opinion and will stick to it I guess.  Nothing wrong with saying “do you know what, he has improved us quite a lot in recent games, maybe it’s time to just see what he can do now”.

    You need 5?

From the minute the owner decided not to re-invest the Scott money - a decision no doubt taken well before he was actually sold - and from the minute the owner decided to not renew Nigel Pearson's contract - a decision no doubt taken long, long before he was actually sacked - this season has been a waste.

A waste of everyone's time, money and emotional energy.

A waste of the aforementioned that a lot of us, including the pensioner owner, can ill afford.

So can we just get on with it please.

Get on with not wasting everyone's time, money, energy.

Get on with having a season where it isn't just one player - Rob Dickie - deservedly hoovering up every single award going.

What a joke end of season awards are when all you've done is spend 9 months pissing players and fans off.

Just a bit of fun mate

Surprised so many are putting Vyner in their top 5 - he is making so many mistakes especially recently, giving the ball away in our area (think Vardy and the Blackburn miss last night).

He certainly has good moments ie the goal saving tackle but he also makes a risky - uncontrolled - pass most games!

That’s happened in a couple of recent games. I think people are looking across a whole season

  8. Scores on the doors:

    1. Dickie 170 - voted in top 5 by 100% of voters

    2. O’Leary 71 - 89%
    3. Knight 48 - 89%
    4. Vyner 37 - 83%
    5. James 16 - 50%
    6. Tanner 15 - 44%
    7. Pring 6 - 22%
    8. Williams 3 - 6%
    9. Sykes 2 - 12%
    10. Conway 1 - 6%

No real surprise at the top 2!

  9. Would be interested to hear, in order, people’s top five players of the season.  10 points for 1st, 5 points for 2nd, 3 points for 3rd, 2 points for 4th and 1 point for 5th.  Add them all up at the end and see where we are! Yes I’m bored!

    Mine:

    1st Dickie. 2nd O’Leary. 3rd. Vyner. 4th Knight. 5th. James

Hard to leave out Tanner.  I think Pring has had a good second half but poor first half.
