  1. Interestingly I was speaking to an Academy coach about City today (dont have a name) and found him totally disrespectful towards NP.

"Never should have been appointed, dinosaur, knows nothing, should drop Matty James and play youngsters, should be sacked"

If this is the sort of attitude that some of the backroom staff have towards our Manager then what do they tell our Players and youth players. It doesn't exactly look good on the club at all.

I will stop taking a flight, driving a car etc etc when the hypocrites preaching to us start doing the same. It was a nice touch of Joe Biden to only have 85 cars driving to the COP26, that was obviously a must.... How many planes flew in exactly? But as long as a celebrity tells me what not to do, with their staggering hypocrisy they can frankly do one imo.

Celebrities/Elites/Politicians have no idea how the 'normal' people live, I would say the majority of people are concerned about putting food on the table for them and their family.

It's nauseating listening to them drone on and on about their endless rubbish, they're boring - no wonder TV and Film has gone way downhill over the last decade or so when majority are more interested in stroking their own false ego and their hypocrisy stinks

Was watching the champions league game the other night and bt had an advert with Joe Cole about the impact of climate change and what "we" (as in us) can do. One of them being not flying.

Course, the irony being it was champions league week where I believe that every club playing away would have flown to and from their match.

These ideals are for us plebs. Not for the wealthy elite who can carry on as normal. We're the problem, not them.

If they really care about the effect of flying on the climate, do away with the champions league...... Let's see some tangible effort made by the preachers for once.

Blimey never seen a truer word spoken about this subject.

Agreed. I wouldn’t be against Warnock coming in. At this level their are few better and that is not my opinion speaking that is facts speaking.

It is facts, you can dislike his style and manner but the facts are he has overachieved time and time again with club's in the Championship. I wouldn't be disappointed to get him in until the end of the season if the rumours are true about NP.

Depends how you defined 'worked out'. Took over with them 21st and in big danger of going down under Woodgate, 8 games - 4 won, 4 lost. Kept them up and finished 17th. First full season finished 10th. I would take that...

Warnock did very well with Middlesbrough. If you look at their side (pretty average) and he has made them quite competitive which they were not under Woodgate and managed to get results against the best sides. He's a genius at this level

I agree with most of what the OP said, but I'm a bit more than disappointed. We are simply not worth watching and haven't been for 3 / 4 years now. It's a monotonous chore. Drive to match, sit down, watch terrible performance, lose match, drive home thinking what on earth was that/why did I bother. Week in week out the same. If you haven't been watching afar, it really is that bad Steve.

Pretty much accurate on how I feel towards the club. It's like Mr Lansdown has fallen asleep at the wheel since the League Cup run

  7. I admit I have been one of NP defendants since the Summer, but I am having my doubts whether he will get us out of this mess right now.

We have looked woeful since the first international break in September, I have never known a City side so uncomfortable in possession and devoid of creativity and threat (Even when we were relegated we managed to be threatening). He has to take some responsibility for how bad we have been, we don't look confident or sharp at all. At least play Scott and Massengo most games so we have something to get excited about? His demeanour recently has been negative and it sounds like the same old same old which reflects on the performances of players.

The bigger picture though is this has just been a continuation of crap since around 2019 when LJ was in charge of absolute rubbish football and 'survivalist first' mentality that is causing our downward spiral. There is an aura around the club that they value the club higher than what it actually is 'High Performance Centre' kind of speak which is total rubbish as far as i'm concerned. Steve Lansdown to me has again fallen asleep at the wheel and is watching us slide again back to League 1.

I wish we were back at the old style Ashton Gate with players who loved playing for the club and it didn't feel very corporate at all, but the whole experience over the last 2 or 3 years have been that of corporatism and arrogance from within the club

No ya doughnut, they are here to support city.. your employers ?

An absolute prat isn't he. How the hell is he still in the job 5 years later, he is one of the reasons match days at AG have gone downhill so quickly as well.

Needs his marching orders as I'm sick of hearing his annoying man child style voice

I must admit that over the last fifty years I don’t recall feeling that Bristol City was generally a bigger club than Cardiff or Swansea. Similar, and all with fluctuating fortunes, I would have said, though I don’t have stats to prove it!

During the 1990s both clubs were in the bottom division whilst we stumbled between 2nd and 3rd tiers as usual and our players would usually play for Cardiff or Swansea after playing for us, they would sign our cast offs.

Bigger clubs? Definitely now, but if we reached the top flight and stayed there a couple years you would have to consider it quite even.

  10. You can't polish a turd, the same Spurs players got Pochettino and Mourinho sacked too. They are boring, show zero commitment and the attitude from most of the players is poor.

I don't feel sorry for Nuno though, after his antics in that game

I'm thankful for his financial support but his footballing decisions have left A LOT to be desired.

Once again the entire football operation is being restructured and the Pearson era is leading to another change in direction.

It's been 20 years of haphazard decision-making with no clear plan.

Swansea, for example, have even gone through different owners but seem to have the same football model/strategy they've had since about 2004.

We stumble from one strategy to the next.

There is no strategy. It's just corporate speak most of it and total waffle from the club. We have played without a style or structure for around 3 or 4 years, there is no plan other than to just simply 'win matches' without a long term goal. We have no identity, no structure and it's unclear where we're heading.

    Why is this happening now?

If they were surplus to requirements, why didn't we get rid in the summer?

Has something gone wrong behind the scenes?

I get the feeling it was NP assessing whether the pair were up for the job and has seen that they aren't good enough and gave them a fair chance. That's how I'm looking at it anyway

  13. I will never know how we managed to have a coaching team of Holden/Downing/Simpson after a month without a Manager, when LJ left us in more than an adequate position for a proven manager to push us on.

To me it will be a huge turning point in the History of this club over the next decade. A huge c*** up similar to the club choosing Pulis over Moyes. It has set this club back years

Bentley has no sell on value his next club will be League 1 be that 1 year or 3 years from now

Really? He will probably be in his peak over the next couple of years. If he isn't with us he'll be at another Championship club, or a back up goalkeeper in the Premier League.
If Lee Camp can play at Championship level for over a decade then Daniel Bentley certainly will

Heard they were singing they wanted LJ back, shows how long they must have supported BCFC or just thick as sh1t

They were a total embarassment all game. I'm also one for unreserved seating at away games but the atmosphere was toxic even before the game yesterday.

Worst away day in a long time and some of the fans must not have been supporting the club very long or out for the 'day out'. To$$ers

As someone who was there, I’m glad you qualified that with a “some”!!

But, yes, some certainly were. The flares in the concourse were a start that pretty much set the tone for the day. Stupid doesn’t even start to do it.

And chanting “you don’t know what you’re doing” at stewards and medics who were doing their level best to deal with a serious incident was just embarrassing.

Tuesday’s ‘how shit must you be we’re winning at home’ was questionable, but at least it was brief. Today some seemed determined to not just repeat it but go on and on with endless variations: …you’ve only scored three…..we’ve lost the bal etc etc.

    Depressing.

Very depressing. It was a minority for sure but a loud minority who must have been an average age of about 19.

Just making noise for the sake of noise after it was clear we'd lose and it shows to me how quick some of our fans turn on the players and managers when we lose a few games.

Would agree with that. We seemed to have more than our fair share of idiots there today

The group of stone Island clad idiots that let the flare off in the concourse with a fair few small kids about. Well done.

Idiots calling for your own Manager to be sacked.

Idiots that were arguing and abusingi the stewards and police because they didn't want to keep the gangway clear for them to take the injured fan out the ground.

Yes a fair few about today

They were chanting at WBA fans for trouble when one of our own fell ill at HT. Then chanting you aren't fit to wear the shirt, shouting we want LJ back. Totally embarassing.

I get it, we were poor today, got well beat by a far better side but by no means was it a 3-0 beating by a really bad side.

Was one of the worst away days today and not just because of our own team but our own fans were being pathetic
