  1. That quote is very similar to David Brent's Ian Botham quote
  2. I am really looking forward to the Joey Barton meltdown when relegation is confirmed.. Back to where your sh**hole club belong
  3. To me it's not the fact they have had a small blip, it came at a time when Automatic promotion was essentially in their own hands, they suddenly go on a blip. As soon as he is in the ascendency it slips out of his handz Feels similar to when we beat WBA 3-2 and were 5th and then ended 8th.
  4. And now you're gonna believe us and now you're gonna believe usssss.. The Gas are going down
  5. The only thing with that is that other clubs did rise to prominence during the 2000's when Premier League and La Liga were booming. Deportivo La Coruna, FC Porto, Monaco, Celtic, Shakhtar Donetsk, Valencia, Zenit St Petersburg, Middlesbrough, Sevilla, Feyenoord all reaching major Semi finals or finals at European Competitions. Football is a cyclist game, not much has really changed since then, if anything the gap has widened in the past 10 years you may say when you look at the list of Champions League Winners. Ajax your example have always been a club that every other decade rise to prominence in Europe, judging by their own History, and they too have a helping hand that they have plenty of young talent to pick from across Netherlands and Belgium. FFP restricts club's like ourselves to spend and reach our full potential. Better checks need to be done regarding ownerships of club's, but it is down to the club on what they spend their money on. Not much has really changed in terms of new club's rising up in Europe. Kaiserslautern of the 90s are now a 3rd tier side and clubs like Leicester or Leeds come and go.
  6. This would be great news for Football
  7. Gutted about Hagler tonight. Awesome fighter, intriguing character. Really sad
  8. We just didn't apply enough USP during LJ's 4 years in charge
  9. If they make it to the Championship, I think that is a bigger achievement than Leicester title win. That's been years and years of good management, good decisions being made on and off the pitch by Accrington Stanley, let alone the fact they truly are a Community football club, some real Roy of the Rovers stuff really
  10. Agent Tisdale your mission is over. You did the good of the world a fantastic service.
  11. Both LJ and SC did good jobs at City. I think if you forget LJ's personality, you'd have to say he did an 'ok' job over 4 years, made us steady in the League, but without being spectacular. Some think our fans are fickle and nasty to Managers, i'd say we're quite pleasant compared to many many other clubs, seems Sunderland fans have figured LJ out, already and I can't say I'm not surprised. Like they have said, he has achieved nothing and speaks a lot without saying much but utter drivel
  12. They don't want anyone who goes against the grain and would severely criticise the club, so in some ways they are restricted. I'd never listen because of this, better to leave it to the fans as anything from the club is just sanitised and not the real experience you'd want from a fans podcast.
  13. Personally I like FBC and OSIB, for differing reasons, both give a varied view from the fanbase on the club and have some excellent interviews on both pods. I do prefer the manner in which FBC is conducted by the main interviewer, but considering OSIB came on with not much experience I think they've done well and I really enjoyed the Cider's with during the first lockdown.
  14. Always knew Tisdale was a gurt sh1t head ?
  15. Give Semenyo a chance, he will score goals for us in the future I think. Strikers/Attacking players, especially young ones need to be given the opportunity to show what they can do, it's only half a season. We, as a club in the past few years have been too quickly to write off attacking players who have gone on to do well - Woodrow, Robinson, Kent to name but a few. He has done well this season in a poor team imo, he will get better
  16. Fury vs Joshua would be fantastic for UK. I would like a Fury win, but I think it'd be a close call to call who would be the winner.
  17. 8th in League One - That's Rovers' version of success in my view.
  18. I'm not sure Tisdale will be able to sort out their mess to be honest. It's easier at bigger clubs like Team Bath, Exeter and MK Dons to produce actual good players.
  19. Bristol Rovers will be 14th next season based on their pretty average 100% up and at 'em type players that they have signed in the summer. Their fans will love that
  20. Could say Darrell Clarke was too good for them
