Good signing! I get the fuss about it being loan only, but I imagine this is someone LM really wanted and will know his style of play well and the board/BT are backing the manager they chose. It would be interesting to know what the loan fee was - might even be a case of doing this on loan rather than say £5m upfront means we can bring in someone else this window.
All in all, I'd rather we had him permanent or with an option, but if those fees were too high then I'm okay with a loan. I'd rather we play exciting football and this looks like someone who can aid with that. Welcome Scott!! COYR

My point was also to do with infrastructure, not just divisional status. I expect our facilities to be better over 20 years.
The other point is trend. We got to our best position in 2007-08, so reached our peak relatively early on and then been up and down since, but never attaining that level again.
Bit ultimately it’s all our own opinions. And although I’m black and white on wanting new ownership, I’m not black or whole of SL being the messiah or naughty boy. I can think he’s ok and still want new.
I'd say I feel the same. I think the biggest issue with someone new coming in is that you would have to be pretty diligent about who you bring in on many levels - Financial, football, and background, and bringing in the right people at the top is the main problem I have with Landsdown anyway. So the main reason I would want him gone is the main reason I'd be anxious about the change!

Really pleased for him, great player great pro. It's a shame in a way he didn't get a send-off at Ashton Gate - a game where we knew it was his last. But obviously the move makes sense for everyone.

It's interesting reading the comments under the BBC match reports. A lot of hammers fans clearly hating Moyes. Seems crazy a European trophy last 16 of UEFA and 6th in the Prem. Not sure what more they want/expect - presumably about the quality of football?

Watched game on Bet 365. All you could hear was city fan. Superb. So refreshing not having commentary and just having the noise of the ground. Like I was bloody there

The commentary on ESPN was really poor, with lots of gushing over "premier league quality" and this "this we surely be LM biggest result yet as manger". Although he did say something JL would like - "Bristol City are the ones really playing front-foot football now!"

Something we developed under NP that was huge today was defending set pieces. We were terrible when NP arrived and now even against Ward-Prowse you feel a confidence we can defend them well. Really strong defensive performance today. Great game! Bell much improved, Tommy with a goal, Pring looking awesome, and Max MOTM performance - wonderful stuff! COYR

Horrible day for West Ham. Three injured players and the injury to Bowen looked bad.
Plus they were about to have a two week winter break, and instead have to come to AG in 10 days time. Moyes will be fuming.
With Europa League and Prem coming up for them I wonder how fussed they'll be about a cup replay at AG during their "winter break".
Great opportunity for us to progress!
Judging by today (don't watch a lot of Prem), Bowen would be a huge miss, thought he was fantastic, off the ball to - amazing movement.

There is a shop called Zumiez - they sell watches - a particular watch I want is pricey ($165) then they want another $100 for taxes to UK and shipping!! Any way I can try and bring those costs down a little?
I do live in the US and had a family member try and order from them. They first tried to get it delivered to the UK, but it never arrived. It took them 6 months to get the company to refund. They contacted me to have it delivered here and never delivered + tried to claim it had been signed for.
Also looking on trutpilot will highlight these are not isolated experiences.
QuoteAbsolutely awful if ordering to UK. I can see that I’m not the only one to have experienced this, but my three items have been sat at the ‘consolidation’ centre since 12th December!! Five weeks to put three things in a bag and hand them to a courier... and lord knows how long it will actually take once they leave Cali!
It’s a real shame because the store is sick and the customer service guys seem nice enough, if unable to understand why you might be just a teeny bit pissed at the whole endeavour.
Avoid like the plague unless you can visit in person.QuoteDont get excited too fast, cus if youre ordering from EU, either you wont get the package because its been delivered to a random adress in the US or youll be waiting months without any information. I just wish sites like this would do their job and everybody would be happy.
Are two reviews on the first page. They definitely have some sool looking stuff, but I would avoid them.

This is what Pearson said about BT stepping into the role -
QuoteWe’re delighted for him obviously,
It needs real collaboration and we’ve got that. It’s a reward for Brian, it’s a smart appointment by the club. What it does is it gives Brian the ability to operate in an official capacity in what he is already doing and that is working very closely with the first-team operation but also overseeing the academy and the recruitment.
He will be important for us recruitment-wise in the first-team environment as well
NP is the one person recently involved with the club whose football opinion I would really trust. He is also the one person I would expect to be honest about his feelings on something like this or abstain from commenting.

Would expect him to move given the traction it’s got, whether to us or elsewhere. Burnley will want to cash in, too, given their current league state
I wonder if we could use any (potential) Brownhill clauses as part of the negotiation.

Good shape so far
Watching some good stuff
Tell you what, if their keeper does that thing where he puts his foot on the ball like a ponce one more time, I hope someone cleans his ******* clock. - what an odd thing to get wound up about.
Good solid half. Gave them very little.
Not exactly blessed with much action, but after the last two results I would have expected a display like this come along, solid and under no real pressure from the home side.
We are doing the right thing in being very hard to break down and staying in the game.
Good half again...... .....If we press them a bit higher, we’ll win this.

I'd say measured, maybe. Certainly not entertaining, but wouldn't say we've played badly - However, you want to see us take it to the opposition more at home, up the tempo a bit. We're maybe a little to concerned with preventing them springing their counter attack.

Two fantastic balls out from Vyner. Breaking the lines with one pass

Number 15 on the Millwall bench Joe Bryan. Hope he gets a good welcome if he comes on. But hope its not him with a last minute winner. I will go with a very tight 1-0 to us.
Obviously, I'm not saying this is why he is starting, but looking at the Millwallfans forums and social - they were hoping we wouldn't bring Weimann on early to see him as a boggy player and seem to loathe him in general for some reason. I remember the hat trick against them a couple of years ago (another New Year's game I think!?), but other than that I'm not sure why he seems to feature in their thoughts so much.

Pretty dull game, but a point away 4 unbeaten. Not too bad. Think we'll see a little more quality at home against Millwall.

Who is this agonisingly boring Jock on Robins TV

Well, I'd say controlled, but a bit dull. Not helped by a pretty terrible atmosphere. We've had some okay chances mostly through crosses from Sykes. A few lazy passes here and there would like us to sharpen up a bit.
Side note - interesting to see the difference between Wells and TC. To me, Wells seems to occupy defenders/make space by sitting a little deeper and pressing hard. Where as TC seems to occupy defenders more with his positioning, and moving them around.

From what I can see Birmingham fans are excited about Donovan starting (might be his first start), Just 17, one to keep an eye on maybe.

So , by being 2-0 up then3-1 we still controlled the game by letting them have the ball .
When they are passing at the back and even into midfield there is no threat, so yes, think you can let them have the ball in those positions. They have possession but it is controled. The impetus is on them to do something with it not for us to win it back.

Wish we had his commentary in the USA. ESPN desperately wanting West Ham to be better.
