I think most Gasheads are aware that the family own around 32% of  shares in the Arab Jordan Investment Bank, and are also major shareholders in a tourism company which owns The Four Seasons Hotel Amman.  They aren't billionaires.

Haven't seen any verified figures of their actual wealth, so no idea if the "under a hundred million" quoted is accurate.

I honestly don't think that most are aware. Literally (and I am literally using that word in the literal sense) all the 15er friends I have are convinced that Wally is richer than SL.

Why do we even still have a thread about that lot on our forum..?

im not interested in them and only entered the thread to say so, they have no place on our forum and I for one would prefer it if it was on a sub forum somewhere !!

As you just admitted, you don't care about them. So just don't read this thread. Problem solved

  4. I just met some Rover's fans I haven't seen for a few months. I asked them straight out if they would prefer to lose the Championship play-off final (and be in the Championship) or win the Conference play-off final (and be in League 2). They chose to win the Conference final because 'they are winners'. I don't think I need to say any more... :rofl2br:

Not sure what's funnier, that they've only sold 3,000 season tickets despite being on the verge of back to back promotions, or it's their highest season ticket sales in 16 years..

Not to mention the fact that there are still 700 tickets available for their derby game on Saturday, where they will be hoping to get back in to the promotion spots. If they can't sell out for that game... :tumbleweed:

465 notes for a ST in the gAss 'main stand' (!)

Wow. I pay pretty much the same price to sit in a brand new stand in the Championship as I would have to pay to stand in a shitty old stand and watch League 2 football.

That's ridiculously expensive. And people complain about our prices!

  7. An ex-premiership team with ex-premiership players. I haven't even heard of some of those players. Having a long fancy foreign name doesn't make you good at football. We played Crewe last year though I can't remember if Varney played. Which rather sums him up.

I think there's a lot of confusion between good players and a good team. Johnson has a knack of getting a good team spirit going which can make up for a lack of top-notch players.

Bring them on, is what I say. :farmer:

I agree with everything you say except one point. Luke Varney is a very very good player. I've seen him play a number of times (live and on TV) and he's never failed to look like an extremely good player. I'd say it was a very good signing indeed.
