To be fair Fordy, Police regard football fans as a soft target.

I dont expect you to agree with that of course.

No way is there the level or approach of policing at other events in Bristol I could name, which are rife with drugtaking and violence.

Is there anything that attracts drugs and violence like football does? Theres an incredible amount of coke at football matches - and I know that as a supporter rather than a copper. And the people most up for a fight? Coked (and beefed) up footy fans.

Fordy you are kind of proving my point. This is how coppers can think, you are now suggesting I was doing something wrong! Oh dear!

I don’t believe I said that at all, I’m merely saying having a dog walk around your feet is not in any way violating your right to privacy. I just can’t understand how you could think that.

I know this is a joke but the obvious difference is that would be out of choice 😜

It was a joke but my point is that I’m not sure how a dog walking around your feet violated your right to privacy in any way. Simple fact is, it didn’t.

The only way it violates your right to privacy is if you were carrying something illegal in which case it’s tantamount to saying “how dare the police investigate my movements, it’s my right to murder!”

    Thanks @cidercity1987

Been doing them off and on for about 18 months.

Due to my work same as @Fordy62 i can't always commit to them unfortunately.

i'm also not a big fan of doing them when i haven't watched the game live from E32 or the away games we go to.

@TomSutton has a really good perspective from the youth team as he's in the SGS Academy team that quite a few pros have come from.

He brings that understanding of how Academy's actually work, rather than conjecture that people spout sometimes.

    Part time model?

Interested in peoples thoughts on what Bellingham " supposedly " said to Greenwood in last nights La Liga encounter. Unprofessional yes, but JB seems to be getting a lot of flack on social media, and a there seems to be a lot of support for MG, almost like people have forgotten the audios that came out.

I haven’t seen hardly any at all. People largely in support. As they should be.

  5. I think we can now all agree that Bentley was better. More expensive, definitely. But better.

As others have said, Max is alright, but I feel there could well be better out there who are achievable.

I agree. As others pointed out many didn't rate him at all and didn't think he'd be good enough for us - myself included, and now want to validate that by hounding every mistake. I'm happy to just admit I was wrong!

However there are also a group who personally back some players to the degree that they then desperately need them to succeed. Morrell was another one. They do the opposite and talk him up relentlessly.

Imo he'd a mid Champ keeper, and I'm pleased I was wrong that he was that standard! He's gone from near the top of my "need replacing" list to somewhere in the middle. At some point, but not a priority at the moment.

He's pretty representative of where we are as a team imo, was/is cheap, and has been an integral part of what's been a very solid defence this year.

Your balanced opinion is not welcome on otib.

Agreed. At present we are an inconsistent mid table side because of players like Max, Bell, Mehmeti, Cornick, Williams

Williams? I trust you’re taking the piss?

I'm not at all defending him for the goal because it was his fault but he has saved us a lot of points this season and this is his first clear mistake for a goal since Leeds unless I am missing one.

This is what frustrates me… just when he puts together a little run, he drops another clanger. It’s such a shame he’s such a good keeper most of the time.

    You can't be serious?

Bell? Cornick? Yeboah if you count him as a "proper" member of the squad?

I’ve seen all of those players do good things though. And I would gladly have Cornick every week over Mehmeti. Cornick epitomises team play - Mehmeti literally just gives the ball away.

And I won’t change my mind on any of this if he scores the winner. His Bristol City career so far has been nothing short of non league.

    Agenda much?

No agenda at all. I’d like him to do well, because if he does well it’ll be like playing with eleven players.

But it’s factually correct to say that in almost every single game he’s played, he’s been absolute dog shit. It gives me no pleasure at all in saying so, but we’ve got to the point where I just chuckle every time he gives the ball away.
