  1. I bet he’s still better in goal than me though!
  2. Nope. But couldn’t see how high he was.
  3. You see I disagree. Imagine St Maximan had just been stood there, both feet on the floor. Red card all day long. Should the fact that he’s in full flight make a difference. Not in my book. Red for me. Out of control, studs up, high boot. Red card.
  4. £592 - £150 (stake) = £442 or thereabouts. Think I’ll retire there!
  5. I’ve had two bets at the festival so far… yesterday £100 on Constitution Hill today £50 on L’homme Presse not sure I’ve ever seen two less stressful races completely the opposite of watching City!
  6. I appreciate the signings haven’t been breathtaking. But who’s to say what influence the likes of King and James have had on Scott and the rest of the youngsters. It’s still too early doors to be calling for Nige’s head in my opinion. Especially when you consider where we’re at as a club in terms of how tolerant we are when allowing a manager to build. Nige is proven. We haven’t had a proven manager since Coppell. There have been some green shoots, but you’ve gotta take the rough with the smooth. Admittedly last night was abhorrent, but the sooner we get used to the fact we’re going to have performances like that while we’re in transition, the better.
  7. While you’re right in pointing out the gamble in resigning Baker because of his injury record, im not sure anyone could have ever had the foresight to not sign him for the reasons he’s actually been ruled out. Looking at the squad, him and Kalas would definitely be the first choice pairing in a 4.
  8. But the very nature of the youngsters is that they’re inconsistent. We shouldn’t be surprised. Tonight was a very inexperienced team. The more inexperienced performers you have, the more likely you are to be inconsistent. Scott doesn’t clear a ball, 1-0. Cundy doesn’t follow his man, 2-0. Not a lot Nige can do about that. Unless they’re training air kicks?
  9. We all agreed we’d be happy if we avoided relegation. We all agreed we’d be even happier if we could do so and blood some youngsters. When did things change?
  10. Commentator talking about the ‘questionable’ COD conceded. Nothing questionable about it.
  11. I’ve thought the same. Looks like he and Cundy are running in treacle.
  12. If we can sneak a goal and get our tails up then a point is there for the taking. The problem is sneaking a goal.
  13. And it isn’t like we’re going to see him again this season.
  14. Think you could be right there. I tore my calf 6 weeks ago, going into the game of squash in which I tore it, I knew I had a slight niggle but didn’t think much of it. Wish I had.
  15. Bizarrely he’s walking off looking fairly comfortable. When I tore my hamstring I had to be carried off.
  16. Jesus ******* wept. Let’s hope he’s fit for the start of next season.
  17. For as long as I remember we haven’t been able to put in two good 45’s in a row. That was par for the course under Johnson and Holden - not sure why we’re expecting anything different. One thing you can be sure if though it’s always “the worst I can remember”.
  18. Oh god. I’m watching the womens football highlights - the standard is so poor.
  19. Blame apportioning: Goal 1. Scott air kicks a regulation clearance. They score. Goal 2. Cundy can’t be arsed to track his man. He scores. They’re not really things you teach in training are they?
  20. Atkinson and Cundy have arent exactly the most mobile are they?!
