  1. I’ve got a flight to Paris tomorrow morning. Wind is back to normal levels by then.
  2. I see Darrell Clarke, now manager of Port Vale, is taking a period of leave after a close family bereavement. For all the shit we give him, let’s hope he can find strength.
  3. 1st October 2020 - 3 year extension (+12 month option) for Moore. 2nd October 2020 - 3 year extension (+12 month option) for Vyner. A glowing endorsement of Holden’s management. What a legacy. ?
  4. This seasons injuries seem as significant as last seasons because the percentage of players ruled out through injury is probably the same, but the difference being that we don’t have the luxury of a zillion players this season so ever injury is magnified. Just one of the examples of the different playing field Nige has to operate on compared with previous regimes.
  5. Agreed. Some of the letter formations appear to be much more mature than a 6-7 year old… although I am naturally suspicious!

I think you missed out “well done Fordy that’s an excellent result today. You must be some player!”

    Thanks. I think this is my best ever Wordle result today… Wordle 242 3/6 ??? ? ?????
  8. Genuinely wouldn’t look out of place at our neighbours mish mash of a ground!
  9. Yeh. It is and it will be. Turning a great big tanker round takes time. If we continue on this trajectory we won’t be far off come season after next.
  10. Our football can be good enough to give us hope. This doesn’t feel like last season at all.
  11. No interested in American football but that half time show is one of the best things I’ve ever seen. Amazing. Imagine being there.
  12. Not a chance. Pearson is currently 2 lives into an LJ set of 9.
  13. I think the lad deserves his own thread, first time on the bench today. Many congratulations. Now, if someone who knows a little about him could contribute then that’d be brilliant! I’ll look forward to many years of his incorrectly spelt surname. Edit: seems he joined in January on a 6 month deal from Birmingham. My academy hard on has just disappeared somewhat. Centre back.
  14. But then there’s a rule saying it’s not a yellow if the advantage is gained.
  15. I think it’s hard not to see the massively upward trajectory from last season. If we can keep that gradient on the same lines next year, we’ll be knocking on the door of the playoffs - if perhaps not reaching them. The most positive thing tho from a personal perspective is that I’ve lost my ambivalence that I had towards our results and the enjoyment of watching Is definitely back.
  16. Oh that’s an interesting development.
  17. Probably the first. I think it’s a dive. And then add in a bit of double jeopardy.
  18. I don’t think it was great reffing, I think it was silly and not needed. That being said, I don’t necessarily think he was wrong within the rules if that makes any sense. I suppose being the age I am, I’ve always been a bit of an Arsenal sympathiser as back in the late 90’s they were the only ones capable of beating United. But I think I’d call it the same if it were any other team… barring United. Then it’s a definite red!
  19. I’m not 100% one way or another - other than I think the ref is a bit silly. But if he’s stopping the counter it shouldn’t be a yellow. And that’s what it is if you think it’s a dive by the Wolves player.
