Yes it matters. You don’t ordinarily get booked for that level of contact, he was booked because of the dive. To say it was a push is generous. It was much more preventing the quick break that you could argue, in which case it shouldn’t be given as a yellow card so the rules say.

I think that’s probably where I’m at. Whereas it was within the rules of the game, it was a little bit “look at me I’m the ref” and it lacked common sense.

People also raising the fact that the purpose of a yellow card is to caution a player, how can you be unaware you’ve been cautioned?

Looking at some of the names on this thread lambasting O’Dowda, some names whose opinions I respect massively, I would suggest that his time here is done. I wonder if Nige and his team pop over to the forum occasionally? Not that I think that Nige needs our input to separate the chaff.

Alright thank you. Still very sore but I think it’s the lowest grade of tear so hopefully back to full fitness in 2-3 weeks. Which is good as today marks a 1st loss since 10/1!

For the past few years it has been our forward play that has needed addressing. I just think there are some key defensive figures we need shot of and then things will start to look better. Vyner & O’Dowda would be a good start. Vyner is capable of some good play, but he must offer at least one big chance every game he plays. O’Dowda isn’t a defender, he offers nothing going forwards, I’m not sure what he is. Personally I think we’re better off with Bentley.

The more I see Semenyo’s finish the better it gets. He checks is his run to give himself room and the finish is brilliant as that ball is fired at him. Semenyo of last season doesn’t score that.

There genuinely couldn’t have been any more hatred towards DD then there was from BBC Radio Berkshire last night. They despise him.
