Why would anybody go to Leeds?

    Is the salary huge?

Is there a guaranteed severance package when they get fired a couple months down the line?

I suppose if the answer to either is yes then some mercenaries will go there.

I don't think DC is that stupid. But time will tell if he is.

Karl Robinson has apparently had an epiphany and ruled himself out.

I suppose it's like the Newcastle job in that they all go there knowing if they get it right they will be legends and highly paid ones at that . But the truth is for one reason or another they all fail. Leeds is still a huge job in this division if the money's right he will take it and he will fail.

    Gas fan here.

Must say I've rarely enjoyed a thread as much as this one, especially the pages from Saturday afternoon. The fact that you have 202 pages about the fact we don't matter to you makes I laugh. This message nailed it for me though:

    City > Championship

    Gas> League One

    End of thread. ;)

The trying-to-be-clever post from someone who clearly has no grasp of the simplest Key Stage 1 maths is brilliant. Ballbags - do you have any idea what >  means?

    Nibble.

Look matey- I tried, when coming on to this forum to have a sensible piece of interaction- If you put Kodjia in the same bracket as Aguero- fine. But really more than that stuff- why do you put all Rovers fans in the same bracket of us saying we are rich, have more away fans, yours saying we punch horses as if it were a weekly event (your hooligan record is far worse by the way)... that's the kids talking and yes they are embarrassing.

I did get a few sensible replies to posts I made before but it's fairly obvious the 'pack mentality' prevails here- and yes, it' does on our forums too, and in most I'd bet.

I'll bid you well... and look forward to tomorrow and promotion...

    SA gas....

To all you gashead posters and lurkers: The day Bristol City are relying on a better result than Accrington Stanley to get promoted from the basement league is the day I hang up my footballing scarf and realise life has dealt me a cruel, cruel hand.

    Now **** off.

There we go again, another stereotypical assumption that all us Rovers fans think the chairman is going to spend millions...I don't for a moment. He's a businessman and will take his cut where he can..now where that comes from who knows. We'll have to go up first, and then there won't be any more income to pick the bones from. As for Taylor v's kodjia- close call, Taylor seems to be getting better all the time, and as you are the only 'billiionaires' outside the premier league no doubt you'd offer for him..cost you a few camels mind....

Did you honestly write that without laughing :rofl2br:

As for Exeter tomorrow. I imagine some people will hold off and are hedging their bets with the play-offs a possibility. Most people have plumped for the last game of the season which is sold out.

Yeah I remember us holding off last season when we were on for promotion

Seriously what football fan does not go to games when the team you love is on for promotion. ..chatting shit I'm afraid.

Sorry to disappoint, but the rover's stadium is as good as built.   Owners value? -  its the family and not Wael.  I guess end of season transfers will answer that question.  If our biggest signing is for 10k feel free to laugh.

    Bitter

Interesting conversation with someone who claims to be ITK at Rovers. The new owners beleive they have been fooled by the previous owner and there is no value in the deal. There is nothing tangible on the new ground negotiations and they may take action to recover some of their money. This may be rumour, or in the weeks / months to come you may say "Pongo told us first"

If you ask for my sauce all I can say is red sauce on a sausage sandwich and brown sauce on a bacon sandwich.

You choices of Source are both agreeable and correct

1982 - the year when a new company was formed in order to evade the club going out of business. The year when creditors of Bristol City Football Club had to accept a maximum of 20p in the £ - better than nothing, but still a big hit for small, local businesses who supplied goods on credit in good faith.  The year when 8 players agreed to tear up their contracts so that the club would not be declared bankrupt.

Following this, the Football League changed the rules so that this could never happen again - 1982 was not exactly the finest hour in the history of your club was it?

If you read Deryn Collier's account of those days, it seems that they were more concerned about Osborne Clarke buying a £1m worth of shares than they were about the Eastville stadium company - who he describes as "the greyhound people".

Just shows that when backs are against the wall, the business men stop at nothing to survive. I for one am glad that you did manage to keep going, there are some things that I wouldn't wish on any football fan - and losing your club for ever is one of them.

    Nice read
