I loved him, especially after the Palarse game when he stormed on the away bus to belt Carle, classic

    Is that true, really?

Not doubting you, but I have never heard that before.

Apparently some presser at around half one

As a Gashead, i am wary and interested and excited

I have never been one to knock SL. This is the world of football now. Your  struggles for want of a better word and the demands to stay in the championship require money even for the lowest spending clubs with wages and transfer seemingly increasing all the time.

I for one hipe this is a positive for us and for you guys as well. I would rather see both clubs battling each other in the championship or Prem than what we have had for too long

    Good Afternoon Mr Parker,

I laughed (there, but for the grace of God) when you descended to the conference, but agree with the highlighted words above.

  3. I think  you may find that the 'accounts' were a draft version and, as Eddie says above, the XXX will be replaced with actual figures (Please, Surely, nobody, even on OTIB, really expects officially audited accounts to contain XXX in respect of unrelieved tax losses/future taxable trading profits) and the 1.5M shares as opposed to 4.5M was, as I advised earlier, a simple typo.

GT's officially audited accounts, when released, will rectify the details contained in this premature, surely leaked version of their accounts.

  4. I am sure Aizoon will have his own view, but I saw this in the Bristol Post earlier.

    Horfield

The name Horfield is Anglo-Saxon in origin, meaning filthy open land. Historically, the area had a reputation as a lawless place because Horfield Wood was the haunt of thieves and vagrants. The area remained rural until the early 19th century.

I was there, although didn't get a brilliant view, what an atmosphere though and thousands locked out (all pay on the day then). I remember our coach being stuck in traffic outside the stadium and Leeds fans lobbing bottles down onto the roof!

I remember it well, especially being stuck in traffic on one of the supporters club coaches on the approach to the ground - young kids of about 10 years throwing stones/bricks at our coach and we really were old men, women and children.

I also remember driving through some streets on the approach and seeing washing hanging out between the houses.

I told them to shove player up their arses, I know it might sound petty but for the past 7 months their Mickey mouse system has been incapable of taking out my monthly subscription, I have had to go through the renewal process every single month since (never had a problem before) every time I report it (using the same email, which has every complaint the i've made since this started) I get 'thank's for telling us, we are looking into it', so **** em, looks like me dog is going to a lot more walks on match days).

Es, I have sent you a PM.

I knew it, Andre Blackman.....at least we just lost 1 point in added time, Rotherham lost 2 but it's hard supporting this lot, and I feel sorry for the 3,000 that had to witness this garbage, we I am afraid are a sinking ship, unless SL steps in with his cheque book.

Gas won again, and as the saying goes if City can't win Saturday, perhaps the Rovers will. But NOT every Saturday.

Fed up, another weekend ruined, I hate Football!!!

Wrong Blackman. The Reading goalscorer was Nick - André was last heard of playing for Blackpool.

If you have 'always' been 'second fiddle' why do your fans constantly bang on about 1982 when we were in div 4 and skint? And I still cringe at the 10 league matches in a row when we just couldn't beat you (86 to 91).

Your lot seem to revel in the victim mentality and love to think your fans are more loyal and chose the underdog - 'oh we had to train at a chocolate factory, we were ragbag rovers, we had nothing, we were kicked out of Eastville, all City fans are bullies and have never suffered the hardships we have...'

But our fans were amazing when we hit rock bottom and you were comfortable in the divisions above. The Terry Cooper years will live long in the hearts of all who were there, true support, incredible backing. You weren't 'second fiddle' then but the pride in our team just oozed out of BS3. Still my fave period of supporting the boys. That 0-0 against Fulham with the most inexperienced team ever was amazing. We just felt lucky to still have a team to support.

And we won't forget you tried to steal Ashton Gate when we were at our lowest ebb....

I have seen this mentioned on numerous occasions, but I have no idea whether or not it is true and, if so, of the details.

    Anybody able to explain/expand.

Certainly remember Birmingham and Pompey in large numbers on the East End but absolutely no recollection of Leicester

Definitely one Tuesday night and, now you mention it,  Pompey as well - also, by coincidence, on a Tuesday night, all kicking off by the Mercedes garage and on Winterstoke Road.

  10. I am not sure about 'taking' the East End, but I remember back in the 1970s both Leicester one Tuesday evening and Birmingham having very large numbers present throughout the match - also Liverpool, of course, during the FA Cup game.

I also remember one Saturday afternoon when Sheffield UTD 'invaded' the East End in large numbers: they were finally chased out, but not before 'allegedly' hitting one City fan with an axe would you believe.
