  1. Didn’t he say just after he arrived that he was trying to learn a new position? If so, he appears to have applied himself extremely well.
  2. Or even a night, mate. That red wide is quite strong ?.
  3. http://stakes100.xyz/blackburn-rovers-vs-bristol-city/?sport=soccer
  4. They got their revenge today, though. 53-3, scoring seven tries!
  5. Apparently not. http://www.maicar.com/GML/000Images/aim/ajax1-0220.jpg Although....? http://www.maicar.com/GML/000PhotoArchive/078/slides/7814.jpg
  6. I was thinking the same thing. If they are only his 'third nicest pair', what must his first and second pair be worth? Perhaps @ExiledAjax might care to send a picture of said pants, preferably washed and hanging on the clothes horse, rather than being worn. Frankly, I am not familiar with the price of high quality pants, mine tend to be a five pack from M&S ?.
  7. An interesting slip. The late Robin Perry was an Evening Post journalist who used to write about Rovers, and was an excellent journalist, as was the late Peter Godsiff, who used to write about City at the same time. The current Bristol Live journalist is, in fact, Sam Frost, who appears to be very much like the character you described ?.
  8. Well, clean pants are also quite important, especially if they are worth £15M!
  9. Not quite. He actually scored his first City goal against Preston, and we won 2-0 - 16 January 2021 (according to Google). Indeed, on 20 February 2016 (according to Google).
  10. Will that be the day we smash our bogey team and their bubble bursts?
  11. Very similar to mine, I suspect, although I can't recall ever getting a 2. I am pretty sure, however, that I have had more fails. As I have mentioned, I far prefer QUORDLE, which I find more of a proper challenge - also, I have never failed to complete QUORDLE.
  12. I know what you mean, but, but back in the 1970s, his Sunday morning radio show was really enjoyable, as were his later weekday morning ones, The Radio One Breakfast Show. Very similar, in my opinion, to Chris Tarrant in so far as it concerns his radio show and real life persona - a not very interesting fact, but I was actually present in the pub that lunchtime he had one ? too many and was stopped and arrested for drink driving.
  13. Isn’t he the young, promising winger we got from Wrexham? He went out on loan and then left permanently on a free, or a very low fee. Oh, and Congratulations on your newborn.
  14. I have just read your post, and I am extremely envious that you managed to take in a Test at Galle. I visited several years ago, but unfortunately outside of the cricket season A beautiful town and it seems an absolutely idyllic venue for a cricket match.
  15. How about this for an extremely lucky guess. Wordle 436 3/6 ?? ?????
  16. Pretty Damned Good? A bit like PDQ.
  17. I know it is extremely puerile, but I always laugh when I see that, even though I know I shouldn’t.
  18. Whilst I understand the general thrust of your post, I am struggling to understand the reason for your virulence, especially when it is directed against @In the Net, who, from what I have read, makes two valid points. Firstly, she has little or no interest in bragging about or overstating Rovers’ supporters figures, home or away, as she is more interested in the football itself - sounds reasonable to me. Secondly, rather than supporting JB for being a ‘wife beater’, she is merely questioning how you ´know´ this to be a fact as the Court case has yet to be heard, which, again, seems quite reasonable to me. Finally, ending your post by calling @In the Net ´Pikey’ probably says more about you than the poster with whom you are arguing.
  19. Thanks for that; a very interesting insight. It also provided a very nice, quite heartwarming story. https://www.sgscol.ac.uk/news/Exstudentturnedfamousfootballermakesnostalgic I can't remember Simon Panes ever playing for City, though.
  20. It’s the same in cricket. Too many to mention, but Gower always comes to mind - quite rightly, in my opinion.
