I went to Andalusia a few years ago and popped in to a nice little bar/restaurant in Malaga for some tapas.
I forget what we ate, although I remember one was black pudding and another was Iberian ham, goats cheese with honey.
They were all very enjoyable (and reasonably priced), but I just couldn’t tear my eyes away from the hams standing behind the bar, all slowly dripping their fat in to a little tray.
I have been in numerous Spanish bars and restaurants over the years, but this was the first time I ever noticed it.
And just to think, when I first started going there, in the mid 1980s, people would be smoking at the bar adjacent!
