  1. It looks like that tramp they've got playing for them
  2. Bert must be using gaslogic with that valuation. Matty Taylor = £12m using gaslogic - Reality £300k plus four plastic garden chairs. Tom Lockyer = £10m using gaslogic - Reality £200k plus three plastic Arden chairs.
  3. Hmm that'll be 2 million less than Matty Taylor then. Are you saying Lockyer is a better player than Taylor?
  4. So, can we now please get back to laughing at the sags. What makes me laugh is that their nickname was a derogatory comment made by us!
  5. More like they were having a polite conversation when SL, unbeknown that he was talking to a sag, spotted the pirate badge and the window licker realised this and was extremely embarassed and drove off.
  6. Someone should warn the Charlton owners if they pitch up there and its for more than 90 minutes it might be a lot harder to get rid of them. I'm thinking Twerton Park & the Memorial groundģ
  7. Will that be in a tent with plastic garden chairs?
  8. Alas, that is the sags themselves, a "prowed" bunch, they really are the gift that keeps giving!
  9. They think its all over (as in swindle winning the league away in October in Promo season) It is now!
  10. I can't wait to see another picture of their garden furniture!
  11. Ha ha, riddle me . . . A simple yes or no would suffice don't you think? Unless of course you're not quite sure!
  12. The latest artist's impression of how the new ground will look
  13. or they could have seats and no roof and call it something classy like the stratton bank.
  14. Hmm, bit of a shortfall there then. So with my rudimentary maths skills £10M debt £11.1 Land value = £100,000. Tent City. How many tents can you buy with a hundred grand. Small wonder he's only been buying plastic chairs, carpets and curtains; he's waiting for that big investor, much in the same way as the previous owners only the club are worse off now and in more debt.
  15. Yes, but all this assumes that they can sell the land that is the Memorial ground in the first place & as far as I know there is no plans in place to do this. They can't put a supermarket there & student accommodation is tricky with the parking element. This only leaves housing which in itself will be difficult for any developer with the adverse publicity it will attract. All of the this requires a lot of time in planning. Anyone can do an "artist's impression" None of it adds up.
  16. I always thought those blue and white quarters reminded me of a court jester, someone to kick up the arse, laugh at or poke fun at. If they wanted to get noticed as a professional football club (& following the Leeds United tradition of changing their colours to that of Real Madrid) I would have thought they would be influenced more by a Manchester United, Bayern Munich or Torino.
  17. That is so impressive. All those years thinking they wore quarters when the reality is somewhat different.
  18. I'm so jealous of bristol rovers because; They used to have a big fireworks display behind the goal every year until they decided to have it in the south stand.
  19. I think the writings on the wall. Otherwise matters would be moving along at a pace. I think the training ground, the new sponsors entrance and the new carpets and curtains are just Wally's smoke screen to make the proposition more attractive & biding time waiting for the big investment backing from someone else. The plain fact is they haven't got that investment in place. I suspect UWE want assurances and they can't give it. When you look broadly at the figures I believe they are £10M in debt with the high interest loan plus I suspect that they are still in debt in some part to the former directors. There is uncertainty over how they can best liquidise the asset that is the Memorial ground given that it is surrounded by housing in an area where there are loads of independent shops & let's face it the former directors, in my opinion, showed a contemptable disregard for those local businesses and the surrounding area which is why there was so much acrimony towards them. So it would seem that starting from a minus £10M figure you're looking at some serious money spent before any real investment can begin. Hardly an attractive proposition. All this is conjecture on my part but it would seem to add up. I think even the most die hard blue can see the creek and none of them has a paddle.
  20. You are having a laugh! Barnsley and Huddersfield are light years ahead of the blue few both in terms of on and off the pitch. They must be judging Huddersfield by that Wembley appearance but how long ago was that! I'm not sure if they've played either for quite some time. I would guess, applying the same "gas logic" & trying to think like a window licker for a moment, that Arsenal are shit because we beat them 2:0 in 78/79 season [IIRC], doh!
  21. So when is the new stadium opening, being built, planning approved, funding in place going ahead? So when is the new tent and Santa's Grotto going up at the memorial ground?
  22. I just spotted their team bus on the Motorway, must be on the way to the play offs
  23. So putting my wooden head on [ie applying gas logic] all of the debts have been cleared, the new stadium is being built as we speak & they're going to get promoted. So everything is as rosy as an Archie Stevens nose or hunky dory as a Frankie Prince pin up. Oh, wait a minute . . . .
