  1. Probably because some of us have reached a point where we didn't feel confident at 3-0. I learned from Reading and Cardiff to keep quiet until after the match.
  2. This is the third time in just over a month that we've been 2 or more goals up and then conceded 3. That should not be happening time and time again.
  3. I don't think that is the case at all. The quality wasn't there today and nor was the strategy but the players could not have tried harder in the last ten minutes. I'd question whether the belief is there but the desire certainly is.
  4. After watching that, the team's effort and commitment cannot be questioned. Neither can the fact that every player on the pitch - Tomlin included - is playing for Lee Johnson. Geifer and Wright look formidable and I do not doubt that, in this window, we have signed the right players in the right positions. So that leaves the question "what's going wrong and what needs to be changed for us to turn things round?" And the only answer left is the manager. Doubtless he is a good man who wants to succeed. But he has to go.
  5. Not had much to do. One instinctive save, one dodgy kick but distrIbution otherwise okay and a few catches.
  6. I think the one thing I'd say for our performance is we've created more chances for Forest than they have. Our centre backs look solid but everything else has been poor. Paterson has at least been trying but we've been literally running ourselves into corners. Little in particular has looked a liability. I think he needs to come off but Christ knows who replaces him.
  7. On top of anything else, has Brownhill ever played Rwb? People keep suggesting it but is that based on him having done it before or an "let's put Ayling in midfield and see what happens?" type thing?
  8. Long term I'd agree. Short term I'd rather we made as few changes to a winning side as possible. Think Giefer and Tammy in is enough.
  9. Christ - fair to say Forest's turnstiles are not designed with the larger supporter in mind...
  10. Btw, I've opted to collect my ticket. Does anyone know where I go? I know from past experience at other grounds that they get brought up on the CATS...
  11. I definitely hope Geifer starts. For one thing, I don't think playing safe by sticking to Fielding is an option for the simple reason I don't think picking Fielding is ever playing safe. You can never be sure if he's going to keep us in the game with a host of great saves or toss it away with a calamitous howler...
  12. As a general rule, whenever I think we have a good line-up we lose and whenever I'm baffled by the selection we win. So I'm optimistic.
  13. There's lots I can understand people criticising but I really don't get how anyone can accuse LJ of not changing tactics and personnel - he's doing it every week. To me the far more valid criticism would be that four months into the season it's not at all clear what our best line-up is...
  14. Well no - of course it isn't and the person who did it made themselves look silly. But it's scarcely worth whipping out the testosterone for...
  15. Bit embarrassing to call people out and imply you're going to fight them though. So someone called you a **** on the internet. So what? You don't know them and they don't know you. It can't be personal as they know nothing of your life. So why let it bother you and why try and get all macho over it?
  16. Not seen a replay either. I absolutely abhor diving and will criticise any of our players who do it but, at the time, I was absolutely convinced the QPR lad lunged at him and he went down as a result of that (be it jumping out the way or being hit). I really felt he was hard done by. More generally, I thought Tomlin was a victim of his own standards tonight. He showed some great skill and looked our more threatening player but none of his passes quite had their intended result. I'm loathe to overly criticise him though - I thought it was just one of those nights.
  17. I thought Horsdur was okay tonight too. If this was the Apprentice he'd be low on the list of people I'd be wanting to fire...
  18. I think it's easy to be negative after a loss but the truth is we just didn't have our flow tonight. QPR made a few changes and I wonder if we were prepared for a different match to the one we got. I also think a lack of support/relief for Tammy is starting to show and, whilst it is the last thing I expected to say at the start of the season, I think we're missing Little and the width he gives us at right-back. It's not a disaster but we need to improve. QPR's sub left back looked poor in particular and we didn't capitalise. On the positive side, I thought Bryan showed a lot of commitment and desire late on but overall we didn't do well enough. But we can and have done much better and will do so again.
  19. My QPR supporting flatmate is due home from Loftus Road at any second. Christ knows what his mood'll be like...
  20. Turns out they have. This loser couldn't even manage to hit a post... Thank Christ he's not playing for us!
